Personally, I'm not that hyped up - after how Sword/Shield removed over 60% of the content found in Ultra Sun/Moon (Pokemon, moves, Abilities, Mega Evolution, etc.) and how LGPE removed over 80% (Pokemon, moves, Abilities, items, wild battles) and even removed content from FireRed/LeafGreen (VS. Seeker, Sevii Islands), it's highly unlikely the next games will be 'intact'.
Game Freak should move to a two-year schedule, instead of annual; that way, the developers themselves won't be under as much crunch, and the games would have more time for fleshing out, for becoming acceptable, if not great. Especially since the last 'break' year was 2015 - between Omega Ruby/Alpha Sapphire and Sun/Moon. The Game Freak developers have likely been working nearly non-stop for five years now, which is far longer than any time in the past.
