Ken i went yesterday and bought 5 of them, was cheaper to buy external usb and rip the 2.5" hd out of case, than buy 2.5" hd straight up, silly. -

If you have a Chinese slimline DVD drive, the usual black rectangular shell, you can swap that out for another drive if it used the same small SATA connector.+1 -

iirc, VLC player lets you rip dvd to any format, I know it lets you convert video files to any format.+2
