2.4 installed i cant get the SOTN to start. Wii remote / classic remote and i tried the gamecube controller. I was unable to get a response from the game. Fps shows 59fps On the top left with no audio. Tekken 3 black screen and no audio.
I did try and turned the controllers to analog with no luck. Is there a compatibility spread sheet being made for this great little emulator?

Both games work great as always. I have finished SotN countless times. Not to mention getting all the extra characters, modes, movies and costumes for Tekken 3.

Hi, I had the same problem, SOTN starts in the "press start" screen, it skips the Konami intro; then the game doesnt recognice the inputs in my WCC, it does return to the emulator menu when i press the home button. Also, when i tried Crash 2 it crashes to "exception-dsi-occured" screen. Both games work fine wiisxr. Also tried with the boot.dol file from WiiSXRX-2.4-CSFix, same problems.

I'm playing SOTN regularly on WiisxRX and never had any issue. The game runs great btw.
I think you're not using the SCPH1001.bin Bios file. After you put it in the Bios folder, you have to select it from the settings menu and select the 'boot through bios' option, too. Then remember to save the settings.

You and @bm123456 need to use the BIOS. The problem was always on your side, as @Tetsuo Shima pointed out. Just throwing it there inside the folder is not enough.

So, according to the timely testing from @Tetsuo Shima, it is confirmed that Wiiflow's plugin functionality (thanks to @Wiimpathy!) is working as it should! Tetsuo even kindly provided me with a mini wiiflow pack just for tests.

Now, on to the important disclaimer, there's a known minor bug in the original implementation: when the emulator is run using Wiiflow, the controller won't respond until you enter the emulator menu at least once. Tetsuo Shima told me about a quick workaround if you're far from your console to press reset: once the game has booted, disconnect the Wii Classic Controller, then press - & + so it enters the GUI. After that, connect your WCC and resume the game. No biggie.

BUT! Here is the fun part: only the Wii Controller Classic is affected by this. Gamecube joypad, and Wii U Pro Controller will work right away. The Wii U Gamepad probably works perfect, too.
Maybe I'll have to go back in the code to fix another problem with my favorite controller!

Thank you. This was my issue SOTN and Tekken 3 are working.

Thanks for the reply, works perfectly now. Ive been testing Road Rash, it works fine but after some minutes in a race it stops registering any inputs for a few seconds, the game keeps going, but if this happens while im steering then the bike just goes in that direction unitl the game starts responding again; this happens in wiisxr too, and with WCC and gamecube controller. I havent seen any post detailing this error.

The awaited new version is up!

* Version bump, IOS & CPU speed inside Credits.
You'll be able to check if you are harnessing the full CPU speed of the Wii U if you're using FIX94's sign_c2w_patcher.
* Controller settings SD saving bugfix.
* Increased analog value to cover the full range on the Wii Classic Controller. [loquinator3000]
* Autoboot support for Wiiflow. (thanks Wiimpathy!)

Official Wii U Channel forwarder now available. Unpack WiiSX RX to your SD root, extract and install the channel, and optionally enjoy the full speed of the upgraded CPU on the console. For future versions, you would only need to unzip the newest Wii version available to your device, without having to reinstall the forwarder.

I'm gonna be uploading some Memory Cards for WiiSX RX use from time to time on the second post.

First set available is for Final Fantasy 9 players, it goes around the major crashes of the game and puts you right on the action with Vivi or Zidane. If you are interested on a complementary and more permanent workaround, you can edit the ISO and remove all the FMV inside the disc, so it does not crash whenever there is video playback.

Awesome!! Do you have any idea where the problem could be with the classic controller not being recognized when Wiisxrx is launched as a wiiflow plugin? I was thinking in the same controller-Classic.c since it is only a problem with that controller. Thanks for the great work!!

Thanks for this update.
Could you explain how to use sign_c2w_patcher to have the full speed on WiiU?
Just run the sign_c2w_patcher and then it will take you back to homescreen just run the emu after that

A bit of Parasite Eve gaming, which is turning 22 years old today.

Some Tekken action, with the complete trilogy.
Missing only one fighter right now in Tekken 3 (NTSC-U), been playing a lot these past weeks. :yayu:

yall im torn... ive been hacking away at tales of phantasia GBA (the USA version) and have so many documents of reverse engineering i've done
  • TwoSpikedHands @ TwoSpikedHands:
I just found out that the EU version is better in literally every way, better sound quality, better lighting, and there's even a patch someone made to make the text look nicer
  • TwoSpikedHands @ TwoSpikedHands:
Do I restart now using what i've learned on the EU version since it's a better overall experience? or do I continue with the US version since that is what ive been using, and if someone decides to play my hack, it would most likely be that version?
  • Sicklyboy @ Sicklyboy:
@TwoSpikedHands, I'll preface this with the fact that I know nothing about the game, but, I think it depends on what your goals are. Are you trying to make a definitive version of the game? You may want to refocus your efforts on the EU version then. Or, are you trying to make a better US version? In which case, the only way to make a better US version is to keep on plugging away at that one ;)
  • Sicklyboy @ Sicklyboy:
I'm not familiar with the technicalities of the differences between the two versions, but I'm wondering if at least some of those differences are things that you could port over to the US version in your patch without having to include copyrighted assets from the EU version
  • TwoSpikedHands @ TwoSpikedHands:
@Sicklyboy I am wanting to fully change the game and bend it to my will lol. I would like to eventually have the ability to add more characters, enemies, even have a completely different story if i wanted. I already have the ability to change the tilemaps in the US version, so I can basically make my own map and warp to it in game - so I'm pretty far into it!
  • TwoSpikedHands @ TwoSpikedHands:
I really would like to make a hack that I would enjoy playing, and maybe other people would too. swapping to the EU version would also mean my US friends could not legally play it
  • TwoSpikedHands @ TwoSpikedHands:
I am definitely considering porting over some of the EU features without using the actual ROM itself, tbh that would probably be the best way to go about it... but i'm sad that the voice acting is so.... not good on the US version. May not be a way around that though
  • TwoSpikedHands @ TwoSpikedHands:
    I appreciate the insight!
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
@TwoSpikedHands just switch, all the knowledge you learned still applies and most of the code and assets should be the same anyway
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
    and realistically they wouldn't

be able to play it legally anyway since they need a ROM and they probably don't have the means to dump it themselves

It does that when I edit a post.

do y'all think having an sd card that has a write speed of 700kb/s is a bad idea?

  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
@Karma177 that sd card is 100% faulty so yes, its a bad idea
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
even the slowest non-sdhc sd cards are a few MB/s
  • Karma177 @ Karma177:
@The Real Jdbye it hasn't given me any error trying to write things on it so I don't really think it's faulty (pasted 40/50gb+ folders and no write errors)
