Sorry to sound stupid just a bit sceptical (moved the updatesyns thing to 3ds folder) and made a folder on root called updates. can i downgrade from New3ds 9.6 > 9.2 or does it have to be from 10.3.0-28E

Now that 10.4 is out, has anyone upgraded from 9.3-9.5 to 10.3, and then downgraded to 9.2? From what I understand that is the way to go since there is problems to downgrade to 9.2 from other versions than 10.3.

But if I upgrade to 10.3, won't browserhack be blocked since 10.4 is out?

I have a very stupid question but I can't find an answer to it.
Do you loose any data when you downgrade? I mean I have a N3DS on 10.3 with Mii, badges and stuff in the Mii plaza, will I lose them? I already know that won't lose my games (maybe some saves) but I'd rather not lose all my StreetPass stuff.

All my data was left untouched, except for badges since I can't check that on 9.2.

Hi! So I've done it on my Old 3DS Eu with 10.3 and it's stuck at "Updates installed. Rebooting in 10 seconds...". What should I do? Wait some more time? It's like this for half an hour now.

So I just turned off my console manualy. And everything works perfectly!

I've a brand new N3DS - 9.9.0.26U - ready to downgrade

People suggest updating to 10.3 first. Is there a way to do this, since 10.4 is out? What's my best chance of success?

Also blocked the NUS DNS addresses on my router.

used this method and looks like i got downgraded. thanks,but when i go to settings to check version it just hangs at the 3ds logo on top and never loads settings. same with browser just hangs. i did get a error at end of sysupdater and it auto rebooted. but it looks like it downgraded but im thinking something didnt flash? i put a game in and it loads also.

Guys if you have a new 3ds and you want to downgrade to 9.2, it's very important to upgrade first to 10.3.
You can only upgrade to 10.3 with Sysupdater.
Many people have brick their n3ds doing a downgrade from firmware > 10.3.
This is what you should do :

1) Download julian20 sysupdater for the upgrade part. https://gbatemp.net/attachments/sysupdater-zip.34439/

2) Follow this tutorial :

* To get Sysupdater run properly, you can open Super ftBRONY first and then open Sysupdater, it's will help.
* For the Downgrade part, you should use SafeSysupdater : https://gbatemp.net/threads/wip-safesysupdater.409392/

Once you got downgrade to 10.2, use this tutorial :

Stay calm, read, take your time and it should work fine.

Look like a softbrick, try redo the downgrade using another entry point like OoTHax or ninjahax if you have the game cartilage. If not, well you will have to boot in recovery and update from nintendo to the newer version sorry.

I'm on 9.9 and need to upgrade to 10.3 before I downgrade to 9.2 but 10.4 is out. Can sysupdater handle upgrading 9.9 to 10.3, then 10.3 to 9.2?

SysUpdater always boot for me but it never does anything after i hit Y, im using browserhax because i cant seem to install oothax (it gives me error, if someone can shed me some light on this too that'd be great)

Softbrick from 9.4 downgrade to 9.2 here

. Validated the cias via safesysupdater and then used the sysupdater on page 95 to perform the downgrade. I havent yet performed the recovery to 10.5 but i have confirmed I can get into recovery mode. Looks like updating to 10.3 before downgrading is important. Anyways to spoof the firmware through my router and recovery upgrade to 10.3 instead of 10.5? Lol

You can try to get a refund like me if it a new console or sell it, if not, well there is alway sky3ds+ thats working on 10.5. Sorry about that.

I did this, then after the update I went to system settings and I am now on 10.5.0-30U... Guessing Im SOL for downgrading/hacking?
