Apparently everybody is too busy playing this successfully from their working acecard/r4 card, would appreciate to know which one works for you. On ds preferably.

Finally got it working, nothing worked it cost me about a week. To save other mortals the effort posting here:

On R4 classic, yes the old black one, with 2gb mem. Steps to follow are
(1) format fat a:32
(2) download wood r4 162
(3) Select systray > safely disconnectfrom pc, put in r4
(4) gloat, drool and enjoy the ride.

Tested the first savepoint, loaded just fine.
May hang indefinite times after that, I just don't know yet.
