I don't get it.
Are you saying you want this to support NSMB ROM hacks? It (I mean nds-bootstrap) already does.

Sarasaland Advance and my hack(it isn`t advalible yet)... not load... it end in creating a Save file... Save file Created.. and the screen become white and there ends and my hack load in my R4 before i enter in Twilight menu... so...

Turn off heap shrink, by pressing Y in the ROM menu, scroll down, then turn said option off.

Sounds like the hacks contain hi-code.
Try the ROM hacks on a 3DS.

@retrogamefan Can you make an AP-fix .ips for the EUR version of Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles Echoes Of Time?
There's this issue open.

@Robz8
Strange! Anyway, my apologies. Attached are new patches for the E/J/U releases. I have tested all 3 and issue #877 should be resolved.

As always, copy/replace the .ips to sd:/_nds/TWiLightMenu/apfix/
Enjoy!!!

Apologies in advance if I should create a new topic for this, but I didn't want to spam the boards if this is an acceptable place to ask.

I'm thinking of getting a DSi for a friend and installing Twilight Menu++ on it so we can do some multiplayer stuff.

However, I remember from my days messing with flash carts (which was admittedly several years ago now) that if you wanted to play certain games (like Pokemon, for example) that use RTC, you either had to use patched ROMs or have a flash cart that supported it.

How does Twilight Menu++ handle stuff like that? Can I just load up any old Pokemon Black/White ROM and have at it without worry?
Do I need to patch the ROM first?
Do I need to change a setting first?

Just figured it would be worth asking in advance in order to avoid problems down the line.

Thanks!

Twilight Menu has built in patches for that sort of thing, at least for most games.

Effin' fantastic, man.
Considering you can get a good-condition used DSi from Japan for less than $15 shipped, and a 32 GB SD card costs less than $7 at Wal-Mart, you can pretty much be up and running for ~$20.

I absolutely love how Twilight Menu++ makes the system region-free, basically. Opens up a whole world of cheap hardware.

I mean, TWLmenu is freaking awesome (still wish the 3ds menu had a zoom feature and there was a boot-to-menu soft reset though) but the DS is already region free. DS games can be played on any region DS, DSi or 2/3DS.

I guess what I'm saying is that it doesn't matter that the firmware/interface is language-locked to Japanese, because you're bypassing it completely. Not exactly the same as making it region-free in terms of the games, but more...removing any reason I might have previously had for preferring a US system over a JPN system?

Try the return-to-menu button combo again. It works fine for me.
Make sure you have TWLMenu++'s "boot.nds" on the SD root.

they need to have a strong line up on the launch titles too. I think they should move metroid prime 4 to the next console because by now it has been quite a while and there's no release date scheduled yet

Wasn't Metroid Prime 4 teased all the way back in 2017? For the switch no less?

Pretty sure anyone buying the switch just for that got duped

    for $200? rofl.
  • realtimesave @ realtimesave:
well as far as metroid prime 4 is concerned, the next system probably is similar enough to the current gen they can probably easily just slap it onto a next gen cart and call it good :P

The switch was about 350 in 2017
