@niuus

Thanks for sharing your improvements. They make the Wii am even better retro center than it already is.

As you are still working in updates maybe you can take look at something: when you play with the Wii's Classic controller pro it seems that when playing with analog controls you can't reach "full speed" when moving your character using the thumbstick. You'll have to use the D-dap in order to do so. This doesn't happen with an official Gamecube controller.
I'm playing Soul Reaver: Legacy of Kain NTSC on a launch day PAL Wii. If you need more info, please let me know.

This issue also happens in WiiSXR. Maybe my settings are wrong.

Thanks.

I don't think i can verify it until i own a Wii Classic Controller Pro.

If i had to guess, the Analog Stick range in the WCC (128, not sure) must be adjusted to get closer to the PSX one (256). If you want to make a fix and test with your controller, start here. I can compile it for you if you give me the modified source file or just make a pull request.

That is awesome the fix for the emulator are for those specific games or some other more that we dont know yet, until we test them
Can't say what the future will bring. :rofl2::evil:

Sorry niuus, I don't have any experience coding so I don't have the slightest idea of what to do. :(
Hopefully someone else can take a look at it.

awesome job!!, but "Wiiflow plugin mode", don't work
Already pointed out by Tetsuo Shima weeks ago.

It is already implemented, just untested and unreleased.

You are going to wait years (if ever) before someone else wants to take a look at it.

When I tried PSX emulation on Wii a decade ago, it was rubbish
The situation has changed from then. Yes, there are some games that still don't work, or can't run fullspeed, but other games are working perfectly. I'm very happy to play games like Symphony of the Night, Brave Fencer Musashi, Spyro the Dragon, R-type Delta, Medievil, Strider 2 and Macross DYRL, on the Wii!!

Resident Evil 2 has full speech working, i wouldn't be surprised if Dino Crisis speech works, too.
That's pretty sweet. I'm looking forward to trying that release :)

Now if only RE1 (SLUS-00747) would work since the GC never got a port of that game. Every version I've tested locks up either before or after the blood and gore warning.

Are you a fan of mechas by any chance? There is a new title working involving a popular franchise... :D

Unrelated, but by building my own compatibility list i have discovered a lot of really, really cool PSX games. The fact that i can play them on the same console i do most of my CRT retrogaming is the cherry on top.

I've had a lot of /not fun trying to update the plugins to make that game's audio work fully in a public release, but have encountered some roadblocks. Can't promise i will release that build, though (since i would like it to be full speed as usual), but i'll sure try. ;)

I would surely love that as well, but that one isn't working even with the most updated code i could get. :O

That game alone was one of my motivations to play with the code years ago. Original RE1 action on the Wii!

Symphony of the Night was the one that run trash.
Real glad its changed.

--------------------- MERGED ---------------------------

Hows Final Fantasy 7

SOTN there is no sound in cinematics... but the gameplay runs great.
FF VII only works well with interpreter because with dynamic when entering battles gives a code dump.

I did not know Brave Fencer Musashi worked well on the Wii, that's a really neat game!

Personally, I'd love for Torneko: The Last Hope to work fully, it's very close (it has some audio crackles and screen tearing), and that's one of the rare games that look badly scaled on real hardware but fine on emulation.

Who? Me?^_^ Juuust a little.
I've got to decide on resuming the works on this one.

Really? A new source port maybe?

LOL. A new title working on WiiSX RX.

Loving that Gundam, BTW. And since you shared that cool related figure, i'll let you know that the game is in fact Gundam: Battle Assault 2.

Just wanted to clarify one misconception, that isn't even correctly addressed in many compatibility lists that i have seen on the net about WiiSX: it is not a game specific issue, the screen tearing will always be there, on all games, unless Vsync is enabled.

id still not play psx on wii emulated.

this is only gimmick to me.
I am resisting the urge to joke about the relevance of that weird comment, on a thread discussing an emulator for the PS1 games, in a forum about homebrew, running on the Wii console. I mean, seriously? Those 2 minutes could have been better invested on a youtube video, don't you think?

I did not say all psx emulation is bad.

@niuus I have tested your version and it works fine, but it has the problem that it does not save the control configuration if you play only from SD because you forgot to change "wiisxr" to "wiisxrx" in some directories and therefore it is needed continue to have the wiisxr folder to be able to save custom settings for the remote.

After reviewing the .dol these would be the lines to change:

sd: /wiisxr/controlC.cfg

sd: /wiisxr/controlN.cfg

sd: /wiisxr/controlW.cfg

sd: /wiisxr/controlP.cfg

sd: /wiisxr/controlD.cfg

It appears that everything else is correctly changed from "wiisxr" to "wiisxrx".

Thank you so much for sharing it. The next update looks very good.

Nice! Thanks for reporting that bug.

Squashed, personally tested, it should work properly now. I posted a special bugfix release for you in the second post.
