I asked you to use pastebin for a reason.

Anyway, one of two things didn't happen:
  1. You didn't install devkitARM from the devkitPro installer, then extract r32 to the proper directory.
  2. You didn't restart after doing the previous steps.
I will try to reinstall devkitARM and see what happens then

I reinstalled devkitARM and i got 4 files: kernel_sd.bin 214kb, kernel_usb.bin 214kb, kernel_di.bin 214kb, di.bin 35kb. is this normal?

I have another problem, when I start the SNEEK application on the homebrew channel the screen stays at: "Waitin for ARM to reset PPC." and the controller gets un-synched.

Yes, I didn't bother installing the ARM with the Devkitpro package either. Then once I noticed the change in the tutorial I thought nothing of it, but now I see why it has to be allowed to install the ARM folder and why it has to be rename, contents changed, etc.

Now if I wanted to compile something else for the Wii, should I change the Arm folder back to how it was?

But don't let that stop you.;)

Yes, it's a sad world indeed when Nintendo (Microsoft, Sony) could care less if their factory workers are throwing them selves from the roof tops, but if you share a copyrighted file from their entertainment system on the internet, you could in theory be in potential trouble.

Only if you want to compile GBA/NDS homebrew. Keep that old one though, in case you ever want to compile something like SNEEK, Trinux, Nintendont, BootMii, etc.

  1. I want to smack you for saying "could care less", because that doesn't make sense.
  2. You're being ridiculous by saying that they don't care if somebody dies.
  3. There is a perfectly good reason for them not wanting you to redistribute copyrighted stuff they worked hard on. I'm the same way, and so is anybody else in a business.

All right, so in theory if I wanted to attempt to compile the latest ScummVM. I would use the same ARM folder as I did with SNEEK?

Just for the record, I'm against redistributing copyrighted stuff as well, just didn't know that there was copyright code involved.

So far so good, I believe I've got it now, your tutorial is complete! :)

Can somebody link me to said tutorial or something? I'd love to build this for myself!
