I'm using a real GC controller, using R+Z+Start restarts my Wii.

But there is a option to exit to USB Loader GX Instead?

Because everytime when i need change my GC games, i restart the console.

If you use Nintendont for saving your games, the files will be stored in the "saves" folder of your USB device.

If you then open Gamecube games via the USB GX Loader, all save files will be deleted/overwritten because USB GX Loader also creates a folder named "saves".

Just wanted to let you know. I lost about 15h of gameplay, but better now then later.

I'm using the original Wii btw.

I’m having trouble with an F-Zero GX [GFZE01] ISO trimmed with GCIT. The game is in the correct directory (usb1:/games/F-Zero GX [GFZE01]/game.iso). I have a European Wii (using 16:9 480p component output) with the Gamecube IPL enabled and an official Gamecube controller. I have Nintendont v5.486, and I launch my games from USB Loader GX v3.0 Rev1262. I have everything on my Maxtor USB 3.0 HDD (around 500GB in size, formatted as FAT32 with 32K clusters using Wii Backup manager) with a USB Y-cable.

My settings for the game are:
Video mode: Disc Default
Progressive Patch: Off
Video Deflicker: Off
PAL50 Patch: Off
Force Widescreen: Off
WiiU widescreen: Off
Video scale: Default (40)
Video offset: Default (0)
Ocarina: Off
Remove read speed limit: Off
Triforce arcade mode: Off
Memory card emulation: On
Memory card block size: 59
USB-HID controller: Off
Native controller: On
LED activity: On
Debug: Off
OSReport: Off
Log to file: On
Disc select prompt: Default (Off)
Nintendont loader path: usb1:/apps/Nintendont/

When I launch it, I get past the Gamecube start up screen, then once I get past the “AV” logo my Wii immediately switches off. Can somebody please help me with this?

Don't use GCIT to trim GameCube ISOs. Use DMToolbox. First try a 1:1 ISO to see if the issue goes away.

I suppose if anyone cares about new nintendont things, I have started working on BBA emulation yet again thanks to this bounty:
https://www.bountysource.com/issues/23560173
So I guess in the future it is not impossible that I can get it working cause the route I am now taking trying to work it out already feels much better than my earlier attempt, no clue as to how long it'll actually take me of course cause theres always that chance I get horribly stuck like I did a couple years ago, we'll see how it goes ;)

OK, so now I tried an unmodified, non-trimmed and uncompresses 1:1 ISO (hashes checked and are the same as on redump.org) with the same settings, and the game boots normally. However, after about 1 or 2 minutes of gameplay the audio begins stuttering (like a broken record) and after a few seconds the game freezes completely.

Can anyone tell me what's wrong? What if I tried to 32K align the ISO with DMToolbox?
BTW sorry for the potato quality, had to compress due to slow internet connection. Also the sorry for the shaky vamera, I had to hold the camera between my knees and I was tweaked out while filming.

Hello.:)

That is sad to hear that you have still troubles with the game.:(

I have tried 2-3 Races (about 10 Minutes playing Time) with no issues.

Do you have this issue ONLY on F-Zero GX ? :(
Did you use any cheats ? (I have tried some like Energy/Unlock Vehicle - works fine).

I also found a Thread with a similar Issue:

https://gbatemp.net/threads/grafik-issues-on-nintendont.543002/

Maybe you can ask User @Bomberman82 of he has a Solution finally.

Look at this Thread on GitHub please (but it is 3 Years old):

The Compatibility List says that the Game works:

Sadly, nothing from those links related to my problem at all. However, I downloaded the European version ISO and it seems to work perfectly with my current settings (plus progressive patch and unlocked read speed).

im guessing your usb or sd was having issues with reading the file fast enough, some games are very strick with reading speeds, if you have a slow sd or usb you get stutering, and hdd is always the best choise or a class 10 and up sd card.

Just curious: neither Wii nor Wii U have LAN capability, right?
I think it was planned before the release of the Wii. However, one (or both) of the Call of Duty games for Wii U have a LAN feature in the menu.
you just use a router for lan network you dont actualy need internet a simple router connect both consoles there and lan network lol, but yeah i dont think any wii or wiiu games have lan feature, the switch ahs teh wireless lan multiplayer tough where one switch hosts and all others join.

OK, now I’m having trouble with the European F-Zero GX [GFZP01] iso too. 1:1 copy with hashes verified against redump.org

I’ve completed the Ruby cup with no issues, but when I started the Sapphire cup the game starts freezing randomly. I tried disabling Progressive patch and unlocked read speed but it didn’t help. (First time I got to the 3rd track and the game froze halfway, second time the game froze about 15 seconds into the 1st track.)

I tried with and without unlocked read speed, but had the same issue. I have a USB 3.0 HDD so it should be as fast as the Wii’s USB 2.0 interface will allow. Also, the Wii’s SD card slot speed is limited (I have a 32GB class 10 card I think, but the read speed would probably be lower than that). Anyways I doubt it’s anything to do with read speeds.

That is sad to hear you have still no luck with this game.:(
Your point with the reading speed is maybe a good attempt.

Can you try a USB 2.0 device if possible only ONE Partition in FAT32 please ? A HDD preferred if possible.:)
I will try it on my SD Card too (Transcend 16GB Class 10) and give it a longer run this time.

Thank you.:)

Hello.:)

I played it for about 30 Minutes from the SD Card without any sign of freezes or slowdowns or something.I have used the NTSC Version.
Tried the Ruby Cup to the last Race, there I give up after 7 times of "Track leaving"....
First Race from Sapphire Cup and Emerald Cup.All ok.

I do not know anything from Nintendont and vWii/WiiU there for I sadly can not give you further advices or Hints,I am sorry.:(
