So this week PS4 launched in North America. What did you think of the launch? Could it have been better? Did YOU pick a console up?
Let us know in the comments!

If you missed the launch show you can check it out here:

With all of these PS4s having so many issues. (Overheating, broken HDMI ports, failing GPUs, and PSN server problems.) I'm going with no. Sony really needs to step up their game in order to turn this launch around. I'd like to think there was some kind of testing done on PS4s by Sony before making them but I don't know now.

Other than that I've heard Resogun was short, Knack's terrible, KillZone is beautiful but nothing special, Contrast is decent, and everything else is pretty. (But it doesn't really bring much to the table if compared to PS3/360 versions.) Waiting for inFamous, Transistor, as well as a few other exclusives for the system. (I'm aware Transistor is also coming to PC.)

Don't forget that it wobbles.

Well, technically I got my PS4 before launch. Aside from that technicality, no. I've never once had a new console that had a problem (at least without years of use)... until now. Damn thing won't read any discs. Just my luck: I get to play a PS4 before millions of other people, and I end up having to get a replacement after millions have already received theirs.

It's funny how many negative votes there are. I have no idea what the launch was like but I voted No anyway. I'm guessing I'm far from the only one :P

As an electronics retail employee, I am going to have to vote "Other". It was successful in the sense that everything sold within minutes of the store I work at opened for the day.

However, it was bad in the same sense. My store received 30 units, 8 of which were preorders (which was the most Sony allotted us). This left 22 units for general sale, which sold out within 25 minutes of the store opening. I know it's hard to provide tons of units to everyone, but 22 + 8 hardly seems like anything considering how many people want this.

Successful in terms of sales, but really bad in terms of issues. Social medias blowing the problem out of proportions or not, this isn't good advertisement for Sony.

Yeah, it's true. Isn't there an official name for the phenomenon where the amount of people who are negatively vocal vastly outweighs the ones who are positively vocal?

I know for a fact I wouldn't have talked so much about my PS4 if it had been working from the start. Like the article says, that doesn't absolve Sony from blame. However, while they may have screwed up (the amount of which they screwed up will have to wait until reliable numbers surface), the customer service I received in regards to my faulty PS4 are beyond what I'd expect. Kudos to them on that.

I'm sure that guy was trying to make a statement (or just be funny), but... dude, it's $400.
