Personally I'm waiting for a 3DS revision. I don't mind not having 3D but I do want clamshell design and possibly 2 joysticks.
Pretty much the same here. Unless some uber awesome LE *cough*MH4*cough* or something along those lines make it here to Aus.

No, but only because I have no reason to. I might have bought one for my little laddy if I hadn't just bought him a 3DS XL.

No because I do not find the 3ds a compelling device (no games of the sort I care for and most of the devs that did them on the GBA and DS now doing Android and co and even abandoning the 3ds) and this hardly changes anything. Even if it did though I do not buy on future promise and it needs to demonstrate its actual worth on the day before I even consider it.

To keep it slightly more on topic the lack of a clamshell and a mono speaker mean I would probably leave it alone, I do not have any particular objection to the form factor beyond it is not useful for me.

On the flip side if it turns out to be a far more hackable (either in terms of software or in terms of me soldering things onto it to spread it to other devices) then I might consider it should the "no games" thing be sorted out.

I think it looks interesting. I'd just like to have it for... sentimental... reasons. It's like the GameBoy trilogy: there's the original one, the Color, and then the Advance.

I'm not one for handhelds, but you know, I would be tempted by a cheap alternative to the 3DS. I think the 3D feature is absolutely dumb, and it gives me headaches anyway, so by all means go ahead and cut that out. The final design, though, if just... goofy. Goofy to the absolute max. Redonkulous, if you will.

$130 isn't quite cheap enough to justify that, so I'll just keep out of the handheld game.

No "I don't know" and "Can you repeat the question" options ? Disappointing.
Anyway yes, I'm gonna buy one.

Yes. The 2DS is a new, unique, breathtaking experience that completely redefines the way you play 3DS games.
