I already know from day one that US invasion of Greenland isn't going to happen at all since US could expand the military and secure the mineral rights under 1951 treaty. Denmark isn't going to let China to interfere with Greenland.

I do think that rift between US and Europe relation gets lessen and lessen soon, so they will forget about Greenland as US become more focused on China that is seen as real threat to American security. It would be major victory for the US if CCP collapses after failed invasion with Taiwan, so they wouldn't have to worry about future China's military anymore, so Greenland would be no longer focus for US government, so it means smaller military and less to no extraction of minerals.
There is clarification - this response is nuanced based on past events when US and Europe had tension relationship, but trust is very low.

After all, the damage has been done and it is permanent, so it is irreversible. Biden had a hard time to fix and reverse the damage that caused by Trump, so now, voters elected Trump, the damage would be further and further - it won't get a better. European countries are no longer trust the US, even if democrat president win the election in 2028. The US needs to fix the issues to have a better long term and stable relationship, instead of unstable because of Trumpism.

If I was politician, I would make the president's hostile relation with NATO countries as impeachment offense that lead to removal of US president, but sadly, impeachment is broken and it is heavily politicalized, especially GOP won't dare to convict the GOP president. We need to find a way to retain the presidential power that would ensure the better stability with long term friendly countries.

There is sad truth after 2008 financial crisis - GOP is becoming more right wing and far right wings are growing in European countries like United Kingdom, France, Germany, Italy, Hungary, Poland, Spain and several others, also fortunately, far right wing lost the election in Poland but they could take it back in near future, so mainstream parties would need to regain the trust with voters. Some European countries like Slovakia are closer to Russia.

Trump is extremely unhinged and idiotic, so he has no idea about what US and Europe relation looked like for decades, so he is fucking worst human in the planet. Have hostile relation with Europe will hurt the US more, become isolated, economy stopped grow and become stagnated, help the China to become a superpower with globe and enable the authoritarians to change the borders that the US wouldn't able to stop. If China invade Taiwan, the US is on their own to defend, along with Japan, so European countries aren't going to help and they could tell the US to get over it. That's horrible policy created by Trump.

I have no sympathy if political violence destroy the GOP, so I'm ENOUGH with all crazy and dumb decisions by Trump and GOP.
