I'm not overly aware of what Gamescom actually is, so I'm not all that excited. As it stands, we get so many of these game expos anymore that no one is far enough from another to really be unique. I guess they're great if they fall a little closer to you than others, but otherwise, as the common gamer, I don't know why I should care.

Personally I'm hoping for a couple of big Vita reveals and of course the PS4 release date!

Why should I care? Personally, I think that developers could be working on their games instead of traveling to these expo's; it'd give them more time for creating their games, seeing as how they're so complex. But of course you can't expect 13 year olds to go to a store and find a new game there; you have to announce them just so they'll know about it.

I do know what it is, but i've heard next to nothing. Seems pretty boring.
Not excited nor particularly interested in it. I'll never understand big announcements at conventions like this, what's the point? Just as easy, if not easier, to just announce things.

I'm with Hells Malice (and apparently the majority of voters). Okay, so it's a game comvention. Nice. Are there announcements to be made/expected, or is it just rehashing the same old demos and annoying the game developers who want to be making games rather than playable demos?
