Could someone post patch/es for the a VC version of NSMB?

is there any reason for you to believe there are any patches applied to the NSMB VC release, most VC games are just stock roms

This i think the only VC with patches is sins and punishemnt becuase of the jap translation.

well there will most likely be a few, megaman battle network had patches applied, but that was for extra items or something, then there is the obvious ones like luigi bros, and super luigi bros bonus games (not that those are VC titles, but they run in pretty much the same emulator as VC games)...i guess its worth a look if someone already has the game, but tbh i doubt they will have done anything to it

yeah....but is there any difference between the VC version and the normal rom...that is wha we mean, most VC games just have the 1:1 stock rom

Hiccup, if you're thinking the patches the VC applies are modifications to the game (like textures etc), they're not in most cases (I think ZeldaOoT on Wii had the gcube textures patched in), they're so the game runs correctly.

for the vc games that have the rom embedded in the rpx, use hykem's rpl2elf to decrypt the rpx, and you can probably rip the rom out and compare with a scene dump.

Fairly sure I looked before and Zelda was the same as scene rom. Might have been NES Remix though.

nsmb is a ds game its on room.zip not on the rpx.

yeah i think the point is he doesnt have the NSMB VC game, and afaik its US only

yeah but he is specifically talking about NSMB which is a NDS title....but unless someone has NSMB already and dumps the rom he cant really check it

then its generaly false xD
only nes and snes are in the rpx

gba is on alldata.bin file,n64 is on rom and nds is on rom.zip so 2 out of 5 isnt generaly true xD

No, in general, I was correct. If the rom is embedded in the RPX, it's likely possible to rip it using rpl2elf. Just because that's currently only nes and snes, doesn't mean that my statement is untrue or false.

If he doesn't want the information, fine somebody else will. I only tagged him because he wanted to do it with a DS game, MEANING he might be interested in other information (figured id better edit and explain, le sigh). But it's ok, I'll let you two answer everyone's questions then.

NSMB was released in USA and Japan. I'm in Europe, but I do own the original cart version.

Ok so, since AlttP is 1MB I should get this one, if that's the biggest on Wii U VC so far.


Will ROM hacks work for injection? Super Mario World Practice ROM V6.0 to exact. Into AlttP.

snes is very wierd, some games work depending on the VC, for instance some games work in super metroid 3mb while same games dont work on dkc(4 mb) snes is very wierd to say something will work or not, only testing can tell but yeah try a big rom of your VC of choice.

I was just trying the SNES injection out. I bought harvest moon on the eshop title but I have tried quite a few roms mainly Super Mario World and the All Stars pack and all I get is a black screen on the reset, this is using Fix94's app? is this normal or am I doing something wrong my end?

I see the issue its HM the rom size is to small compared to the others so what I need is a large snes title to begin with? I didn't realize this when I first bought HM .

well who knows what they hardcoded for that game, remenber be on the VC menu before using the injector, when the injector says transfer complete hit reset, if it works it works if it doesnt it doesnt, remenber you cant inject bigger roms.
