I personally would have like to see a good mp3/flac player which can scrobble music to last.fm and a GBA emulator would be pretty cool too so I don't have to buy a flashcard for my SP.

Now that Ninjhax and Homebrew launcher is released, I renamed the thread from:
"Which homebrew apps would you like to see when smealum releases his exploit?"

Please use this thread to suggest, request (even if there's very little chance that a developer accept to do it) or troll impossible to do homebrew.

That thread will probably won't be a proper and respected place to request homebrew, but it will canalize all future requesting threads in a single place.
Please, don't create multiple threads for the same purpose. Thank you.

In order to port a game you need the source code. Is it possible to remake a game in the same style? Sure, if you can find someone interested in putting in the effort.

Seeing as how I no longer have a Vita or SmartPhone I was wondering if it would be possible to port or develop from scratch a PS4->3DS remote play app. There is an official app for any Sony Android phone but someone managed to make it so that app will work on any phone. If anyone knows a means of find source code for the Android PS4 Remote Play app this would make creating a 3DS app much easier.

I know the New3DS has a built in hardware video decoder (for making Youtube video playback through the web browser easier I would assume) but I don't know if homebrew can leverage this hardware video decoder.

I'm sure this app is something possible to be created but if it is not known how the Android app works getting a Remote Play app for 3DS created will be something I'm not willing to put the work into.

Performance is not something I would even care about at this point as a mere proof of concept would be sufficient for me as all I really want to be able to do is use my 3DS to queue up downloads on my PS4 while in bed in a different room. I can already do this on my PC but the only way I know how is by using an Android Emulator. If there is an Open-Source PS4 Remote Play app on PC that would also make this a lot easier.

If anyone has any information to let me know how insanely difficult this would be please share it.

Ok, I'm just going to throw it out there, theoretically possible...
Driver for PC which installs a 3D virtual screen, resolution 800x480 I guess to keep windows somewhat usable (or at least, not completely reject it).
Software for PC to downscale this to 3DS' 400x240 and stream it, still 3D
Homebrew for 3DS to play that stream live, and use 3DS as a controller (the new 3DS has the same buttons as an Xbox controller! (except the stick buttons))

Possible? Yes. Decent quality or low delay? Prooobably not with the 100kb/s I measure via ftp... though with the tiny resolution, maaaybe it'd be alright.
I'm still tempted to try do it though. Streaming sound too would be nice but that's less important and with the tiny bandwidth that probably has to be cut.

I'm having too much fun just using my n3DS as a controller via 3DSController, even the thought that I could full on stream games to it and see them 3D kinda blows my mind.
