What's the purpose of this tool?

A basic FTP server, useful for testing new homebrew versions without swapping the SD card.

I suppose it doesn't recognize a microSD in a linker

I get a lot of these... I have not been able to transfer a file as of yet.
"ECONNREFUSED - Connection refused by server".

Edit3:
After restarting the app, and dropping a file in a folder in filezilla, it transfered the file (STORE) but the FTP app froze. Neither can I go to "Home".
And it seems the file wasn't actually stored...

Not really working for me, too bad.

Tried to compile the new repo with nmake but only get this error:

Thanks for this but how does this work? I see its in .3ds format so I presume you put it on your M-SD card and run it through the GW menu but how does it work after that?. Do you use it to transfer .cia files to the devmenu?

open up the ftpony.3ds on your gateway, make sure wifi is on.
copy down your ip from the top screen.
open winscp on pc, change file protocol to ftp
enter your ip into host name change port to 5000
check anonymous login
click login

oh NM it was HIO ,file transfer ,but from what i seen there is still no HIO client for the PC released yet?
maybe if we get a PC client the HIO file transfer will be better and more stable than FTP ?

Thanks after that is done where do you put your .cia files to transfer? does it just then transfer them to your sd card in your 3ds?

Edit: Thats cool, then do you just drag and drop your .cia files from your desktop or folder from the left to your sd card on the right? is that correct. Do you have to have FTPony.3ds running all the time when your transffering files to your 3ds?
