3DNES is an NES( Nintendo Entertainment System) emulator for Nintendo 3DS, developed by St4rk and gdkChan. At first, it was just a port from lameNES, but was greatly modified through the reconstruction of the PPU, CPU, modifications on mappers, et.
The project is on an initial phase. It’s capable of emulating many games( with speed going from great to somewhat slow), and already supports some mappers. However, it doesn’t have support for sound yet. Currently the project is at version 1.2
    The emulator currently has:
    Mappers Supported : MMC1, MMc3, MMC5(partial), AOROM, CNROM, MAPPER 79, UNROM.
Frameskip, ROM Selection Menu, SRAM Save.
The next versions will become with:
More Mappers Supported, Optimizations to speed up, Audio Support.

    *How it work*
You will need a Gateway 3DS Flashcard, just download the 3DNES.3ds and put in your microSD, after it, in your SD from 3DS, create a folder called "3DNES", at 3DNES folder, create other twos folders, SAVES AND ROMS.
After this little process, just put every roms on ROMS folder and open the 3DNES and enjoy !

To use frameskip, before start the game, in MENU, just use Left/Right.
<- less frameskip, -> more frameskip, just use 1 ~~ 2 frameskip(of course, you can use more).

    Download : http://filetrip.net/3ds-downloads/homebrew/download-3dnes-1-2-f32931.html

    Current Version : 1.2

    Update Log's:
    Compatibility List:
    -WIP-

    Video:

Old version, i will upload a video from 1.x
    Images:
    Warning: Spoilers inside!

So far it has some bugs, so some games won’t work, if you find a bug or game which doesn’t work, just send me an email or twitter.

Any hint is welcome, if you like it, comment, if you don't like and wanna kill me, comment too !

Yes, i think it work fine without GW, when smea release his exploit i compile a version to it :]

Sound just on 2.0, i am not working on it now.

N64 after a stable version of 3DNES and a *little toy*.

Performance, well, some games work well, others work slow, so you can use frameskip

Mega Man games work good, some with good speed and others slow.

Surprised you replied so well. I'll test any roms you want if you need me or anything else.
Can't believe you've got plans of an N64 emulator. Is this the secret emulator of yours that you posted of in the homebrew thread?

A Compatibily list is a good idea, i think, about my secret, no, is not to *big* like a N64 emulator, but is a good emulator(i think haha).

Making a compatibility list right now doesn't seem too smart since It's kind of early. But I'll definitely be here to do it whenever you need me to

Nice to see that NES is the first emu on 3DS. For those asking for an N64 emu, yeah maybe SNES before ?

8 bits and 16 bits emulators should be the first step before 32 bits and 64 bits emulators ?

Is your "secret emulator" the one you were talking about that shares most of the NES CPU things in the HBD thread?

wow, i was kind of worried that when smea released his exploit there would be nothing to do with it. if you can compile it with the sspwn, this would be a fun thing to play with

To my knowledge, CTRU-lib is a companion to SSSPwn. I can only imagine Smea released it hoping some homebrew would sprout before SSSPwn was released.

I tried this, I got your 3DNES 1.0 screen, then started it and after the Nintendo 3DS screen I just get a solid blue screen.

I am using 7.1 EmuNAND with the Gateway, on an American 3DS set to English.

    1 - You created 3DNES folder and ROMS/SAVES folder ?
    3DNES/ROMS
    3DNES/SAVES

2 - Do not use roms with big names and don't use a lot of roms, just 30 ~~ 40, i will up the max rom on folder.
