It's godmode9. I took my SD card out and checked. I dont know why this doesn't work but I'd rather keep my setup as is since it functions fine besides this one application. I just have to load the payload at boot to play GBA games which is fine. But thank you both for trying to help

The latest commits add a config.ini to sd:/3ds/open_agb_firm. It adds some changeable settings like bios intro, brightness and gamma. I don't have a means of compiling it to try it out. But thought I'd post here for someone who can.

Can I upgrade this app using Universal Updater? Does Universal Updater grab the latest .firm from the repo and automatically add it to the payloads folder under Luma, or do I have to download the .firm manually from the repo to update OPEN_AGB_FIRM?

For reference, max backlight setting appears to be 64, anything higher will give you black screens. edit: this doesn't seem to match the actual max backlight on 3DS, VC still can go brighter.
Output gamma is how the colors appear more saturated by default on the washed-out 3DS screens. 2.2 is no change (i.e. same as VC without dark filter), lowering from there will increase apparent saturation at the risk of black crush.

The LCD panels used on all 2/3DS models don't seem to be calibrated at all. It's pretty hard to find settings that work great for all of them. And it looks like the way this works is by using a 8 bit-per-color lookup table on the 3DS side. So there is some risk for color banding.

The colors are great out of the box in my opinion. The brightness either.

Way better than mGBA. it looks better, more crisp in general with this firm.

Is there a community save type db file somewhere? I'd rather add to it than start over.

I see 1:1 scale support has been added to the repo. Time to start biting my nails again until it releases publicly. ^_^

Great! I will compile it later.

Edit: SCALE 0 (240x160 no scaling, no filter). Unfortunately the display is cropped/corrupted.

I could have done something wrong.

Yes, just tested it to confirm, the display is definitely corrupted. Maybe there's some more work to do before it works.

    Thanks for compiling it!

Thanks for the heads up. Wish I could help but I lack the knowledge. I'm sure profi200 will eventually figure it out.

Is there a possibility of getting a fullscreen build with a biliniar filter applied?

    Bilingual interpolation

1:1 is already producing raw GBA pixels. Why would you want to blur the image?

I just compiled it with 1:1 scaling. Working perfectly. :D

P.S.: If I'm not allowed to upload it here for some rule I'm not aware of I'll gladly take it down. Just wanted to share it with anyone interested.

The games I've tried have problems while saving when they are type Eeprom.
Sram and Flash saves seem ok.
Any progress on the eeprom saves issue?

This might be a silly question, but will this ever support some type of borders, similar to the 3DS VC? Or is this just bare metal GBA mode access?
