tell modmii u r starting at 3.2U and you want to upgrade to 4.1U (or 4.2u or 4.3u is fine too). Note that ModMii will have you install the official system menu, but a modified system menu IOS will accompany it. If you were to conduct a full official wii menu update from Nintendo you will get a 003 brick. But ModMii installs a system menu IOS that is compatible with all consoles and all system menu versions to avoid this. This is done for all consoles just in case someone has a Korean wii that was region changed and they don't know it. So basically even though you aren't telling modmii that your wii was region changed from Korean you don't have to, by default it takes precautions to guard against this scenario
OK, so here are the results after my WiiMod Lite Wad installation...
Thanks in advance for any help provided !

I am running ModMii to update the USB GX Loader and I was wondering if I was using the right options for this...
I already have a partitioned drive that worked well with games via USB before... I believe it is WBFS Fat 32... (When I plug it in to my computer, ''Properties'' tells me it is formatted ''FAT32'' ... So I guess option 5...
Then, I selected 1 for USB Loader GX (which is what I was using to open games on my USB HD before by the way...) so option 1...
Then I am not sure what to select... I know that my SD card was not needed before to launch USB Loader GX, so I suppose option ''USB''...
Then it says to enter the drive (path) letter to save files for my USB hard drive... I am really unsure what to choose here... Do I have to connect my already partitioned USB drive with all my games to my computer and specify it as destination in ModMii ? I always just added games using WiiBackupManager_Build78 to my USB drive, so I don't want to wreck anything... Unknown territory here...

Morning folks, just dusted off the Wii for my daughter to play with and wanted to get it up to date.
It is actually fitted with TWO mod chips, an external socket (Running YAOSM v3.2 currently) and a CycloWiz internally.
Last night I updated the Homebrew Channel ok and I am going to go through everything on the SD Card backup I made a while back and update all the apps.
Am I able to update the system to 4.3 (Think its on 4.1 at the moment) safely?

Got BootMii running in the correct resolution and created a NAND backup, don't recall seeing this many ECC Failures but I guess it is getting on a bit now (44 ECC, 4 Factory)!
I also remembered how to run Priiloader which is on v0.5 (Beta 4), the update doesn't want to work but I see v0.9 - Beta 4 is most recent.
Does anyone have a compiled version as I can't get onto the website?
I just receive my sd card parcel from china (yes I disinfect the parcel with alcohol 90%) and I successfuly run the syscheck
Okay, after finishing ModMii for windows I get the guide, is it okay to skip guide number 1 which is "Installing The Homebrew Channel (HBC) and Bootmii" because I already have HBC or is it okay to re-do the hack?

After installing a usb loader gx forwarder and changing settings to return to usb loader gx on exit, usb loader gx hangs on initializing usb device. I think that there may be a problem when patching ios 58.
Hi
I am a bit late to the conversation but whatever
I have the same problem. I have read through the other replies and it seems no-body has encountered this (somewhat temporary) fix.
When plugging my hard drive through usb to my pc and running:
'chdsk (Letter of drive, in my case -->)G: /f'
with cmd, i receive a reassuring: there are no problems and therefore no fixes were needed.
Despite this, when launching with USB Loader GX straight away (port 0), It launches straight through without freezing.
The Downside is, when you fully power off the Wii, meaning no power to the drive, it returns to the normal freezing state.
I am looking into this but I'm unsure what causes this problem when exiting/powering off.
I have also used a non-forwarder version and seems to be ok.
Conclusion:
Issue occurs only with newer forwarder revisions
Despite which loader IOS used (I've tried 58 and 249)
(Only) Resetting the Wii keeps the fix
However powering off loses it
And is caused every time usb loader is used(opened/closed/powered off)
I hope this helps
Thanks
Edit:
I did some research and apparently USB 3.0 doesn't do too well with the Wii...
This could be another issue [Probably outdated Hardware issue].
Not much I can do.
Edit 2:
Permanently fixed by removing the hard drive from the USB 3.0 device and putting it in the old USB 2.0.
I guess the Wii or USB loader just doesn't support USB 3.0 very well. USB 2.0 is fine
I just receive my sd card parcel from china (yes I disinfect the parcel with alcohol 90%) and I successfuly run the syscheck

Use the syscheck CSV file with Modmii, it should update your hack.
But considering your syscheck report, you have this console version ==> Region: NTSC-U (region of origin: KOR)
For the region of origin KOR of your wii ==> Wait for the opinion of XFflak, for Modmii, it will tell you exactly what it will be necessary to do with Modmii.
Thanks @jeannotte I try to understand what you say by "using syscheck csv file with modmii" I see modmii menu again and again but couldnt find the option to make modmii read syscheck csv file i dont understand it until i googled and found this post
its basically drag and drop order hahaha i am so noob and it work i got modmii decide the best update for me by reading syscheck csv file
wow thanks to the creator
okay i am reading the guide again and i will ask here if there is some thing i dont understand thank you all
