Fizeau - Adjust color of your Switch screen

Fizeau
test.png

Adjust the color of the screen of your Nintendo Switch.

Features:
  • Modify the color temperature of the display.
  • Filter colors to one single component.
  • Apply color corrections: gamma, luminance, and color range.
  • Control the screen backlight brightness.
  • Schedule settings to be applied to dusk/dawn time, with smooth transitions.
Installation:
Download the latest zip from the release page, unzip it to the root of your sd card (be careful to merge and not overwrite folders), and reboot.
Only the latest version of the Atmosphère CFW is supported.
If you want to use the overlay, you will need to set up Tesla (install Tesla-Menu and ovlloader). This isn't supported on firmware versions prior to 9.0.0.

Supported firmwares:
All firmares are expected working. The software was tested working on 1.0.0, 2.0.0, 6.0.0 and 10.1.0. If you encounter an issue running this on a particular version, please create an issue.
Settings:
  • Settings are saved at /switch/Fizeau/config.ini, which you can also edit.
  • To reduce the memory usage of the sysmodule, settings are not read continually. Instead, they are applied on application launch. Thus, you will need to launch the client after a reboot to restart Fizeau.

I don't know if this depends on how I update Fizeau (HB App Store), let me know if it does.
Can the /config/Fizeau/config.ini not be bundled with the releases? Each time I update Fizeau, my configuration is reset (luckily I have a backup in a different folder). Perhaps you could do something like Atmosphere, i.e. bundle a config_template.ini so that config.ini is not overwritten when you update.
Just put your config in sdmc:/switch/Fizeau/config.ini. This one takes precedence over sdmc:/config.

I'm getting a crash when:
  • I start charging the console while in sleep mode
  • I stop charging the console while in sleep mode

in both cases, the crash occurs some time (60 seconds) after plugging the charger in

it was very cumbersome to narrow it down because the log doesn't point directly at Fizeau's direction.
Log and config attached.

Same for me. I always have to set fizeau to inactive in teslay overlay before charging my switch in sleep mode. If I forget this the console will crash.

Thanks for the report, I was aware of the crash in docked mode but not this one. I'll try to reproduce this one and fix it, hopefully it will fix the docked issue as well.

I've been able to reproduce this crash. Turns out the reason why I never encountered it during my testing is because I have "Wake When AC Adapter is Disconnected" on. So when I (dis)connect the cable, the screen turns on and no crash happens.
I'll try to come up with a fix in the coming days, in the meantime you can enable this option.

Since it appears that the issue tracking this crash on github was deleted, I reupload the tentatively fixed builds here.
Please report any issue, if none arise, I will do a release in a couple days.

sadly I still got the error (2165-1001 (0x7d2a5)) when leaving fizeau active and charging my switch via dock in sleep mode, even with the new version Fizeau-2.4.2-19a25f5.
And it got even worse. Now I have "a fatal error occurred when running Atmosphère. Program ID: 01000000000000f12, Error Des: sdt::abort () called (0xffe)" after restarting atmosphere...

Weirdly enough, I haven't had any more crashing with the dirty update. Using the non-chainloader version, on HOS 17.0.1 AMS 1.6.2. It's worked in handheld, docked, and swapping between them. There must be something unique to either my Switch, or others' Switches that determines if a crash will occur.

Please try the hekate archive bit fixer, or as a last resort reformatting your sd. You're the only one getting crashes from the sysmodule itself.

I have not had any crashes! I've been playing/charging/sleeping my device several times for varying amounts of time over the past two days as well.
Your fix looks good, thank you!
Thanks for the confirmation. To thise having issues, please check your setup first (binary files, archive bits, sd corruption), then if you are still having problems provide some info about your setup (hardware, etc)

If it works perfectly, I can have it activated when starting atmosphere, but I have a small problem and this already happened to me with the previous Fizeau, and the only problem is when I put the console in sleep mode and when docking it to the dock and then removing it, I The atmosphere error code 0x7D2A5 (2165-1001) appears, it only happens when the console is suspended and I put it in the dock, but the funny thing is that it doesn't happen if the console is on and then I put it in dock mode, I can play Perfectly, I would like to know if there is any solution in a specific case, in both portable and dock mode I have it configured, no tengo ningun servicio corriendo solo Fizeau

The only solution for now that I see is when you are about to put the console in sleep mode, deactivate Fizeasu and when it is about to use the console again, remove it in dock mode and activate Fizeasu again, be careful it only happens in suspension when docking it to the dock, but not on because if I dock it on I can play in the dock without problems

I just tried this one, the Fizeau-chl and it seems that it solved my suspension problem when connecting it to the dock, what I did do was delete the atmosphere - config and switch folder and then put the clean files to my micro SD to avoid overwrite errors, and then copy the files from Fizeau-chl, thanks

  • Sicklyboy @ Sicklyboy:
I'm not familiar with the technicalities of the differences between the two versions, but I'm wondering if at least some of those differences are things that you could port over to the US version in your patch without having to include copyrighted assets from the EU version
  • TwoSpikedHands @ TwoSpikedHands:
@Sicklyboy I am wanting to fully change the game and bend it to my will lol. I would like to eventually have the ability to add more characters, enemies, even have a completely different story if i wanted. I already have the ability to change the tilemaps in the US version, so I can basically make my own map and warp to it in game - so I'm pretty far into it!
  • TwoSpikedHands @ TwoSpikedHands:
I really would like to make a hack that I would enjoy playing, and maybe other people would too. swapping to the EU version would also mean my US friends could not legally play it
  • TwoSpikedHands @ TwoSpikedHands:
I am definitely considering porting over some of the EU features without using the actual ROM itself, tbh that would probably be the best way to go about it... but i'm sad that the voice acting is so.... not good on the US version. May not be a way around that though
  • TwoSpikedHands @ TwoSpikedHands:
    I appreciate the insight!
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
@TwoSpikedHands just switch, all the knowledge you learned still applies and most of the code and assets should be the same anyway
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
    and realistically they wouldn't

be able to play it legally anyway since they need a ROM and they probably don't have the means to dump it themselves

why the shit does the shitbox randomly insert newlines in my messages

It does that when I edit a post.

  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
@Karma177 that sd card is 100% faulty so yes, its a bad idea
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
even the slowest non-sdhc sd cards are a few MB/s
  • Karma177 @ Karma177:
@The Real Jdbye it hasn't given me any error trying to write things on it so I don't really think it's faulty (pasted 40/50gb+ folders and no write errors)
