Of course others can do that, but, by definition, they also have to share the code like he has. The code is licenced under GPL, which means that anyone can use it and change it however they want, the only requirement is sharing the changed code. Dragon didn't share his.

Oh I see now.
And with the DSTT update, that means Wood works on DSTT cards and clones as well as works on Supercard DSOne(i) so yeah a good number of people can now enjoy wood on their cards if it stays open and this is allowed to be updated.

maybe (but unlikely) a woodM3 will be released...that works on my r4-sdhc, too
'tll then my bro have to use ysmenu/ttmenu for playing pkmn

i just wait for a new akaio...till then i'll finish WC2011

If it's a DSTT clone, then just rename the TTMENU.DAT from this to the boot file for your card and it will work.

but anyways...i only can primary boot the main fw (r4i-sdhc.com, r4 without marks with the latest kernel)
and woodTT and the latest DSTTmenu from retrogamefan as secondary boot


edit: i was bored and discovered that my r4-sdhc can run wood-R4iDSN 1.26...but no background and you only can see the rootfolders and if you select them, a blank popup appears...so it's useless (edit: as second FW)

You can run this wood on your card.
And that means it doesn't work, that's what happens when it's not compatible.

yeah i can run ysmenu, woodTT and woodM3 but not as main FW (like i want, otherwise my lil bro will contantly try to start pkmn/w with the official kernel, instead of running TTmenu, first...he's stupid lol)
i renamed the ttmenu.dat's to R4.dat (the name of my official FW's boot and of course, i put the TTMenu-folder on the root)
getting "?MENU"-error

but as second fw it'll work just fine...

but still i would prefer WOODv1.26 more than 1.25 with patched rom...like everybody else
but that's not how the things work around here...

I too have the R4i-SDHC (not 1.4) and I am unable to boot this WOOD, I can only run it as a secondary while running the official firmware (1.33b).

we will have to deal with the fact, that our carts just run the official FW as main boot
except some really old YSmenu(s) (i had not a flashcart back then...the menu looks like moonshell)

Must be a damn old YSmenu that ours can run, I remember trying quite a long time ago myself and not getting anywhere.

Also, on another note have you managed to make Pokemon White (E) work on any menu or other?

yes...check out the YSmenu from retrogamefan
"retrogamefans multicart update 6.51" on filetrip.net
this includes the ttmenu, you need and the ttmenu.dat as well...just rename that one to ttmenu.nds...all in a folder called "r4i-sdhc r4-sdhc ttmenu"
then search for "retrogamefans multicart update 6.52" on filetrip
this one includes updated .dat's...just copy them to your ttmenu-folder

but backup, format your microSD first...the formatter is also included in 6.51

but you'll have to use a CLEAN AND UNTRIMMED game
