Considering that in another EZ Thread here, someone found another pretty serious issue (just like that Casper one that bricked the card) and even tagged the EZ Team and there's no reaction for a week or so now .. yeah .. it's probably just dead at this point.

Don't expect anything anymore.

Never be an early adopter of shady grey market stuff. While some grey marketers are consumate capitalists, valuing customer retention and good reputation - others (and this also applies to individuals within companies as well as companies as a whole) care only about making quick money and getting out.

That's disappointing too because they were one of the best that are still around (hopefully still around)

I've heard they were working on "issues on the factory line" for the card as the reason there hasn't been updates.

Sounds like they are trying to push an update to the FPGA code instead of trying to patch over this with new firmwares... and given that it's likely not possible to update FPGA via the console (the special programming pins on the backside of the PCB hint at this) that means early adopters get boned pretty much since only way to get the new FPGA code is to buy a new card.

At this point I wouldn't be surprised if they ditch the EZP's initial branding when the new line is ready. They might pull an Omega Definitive Edition and just re-release the new batch as EZ-Flash Parallel Definitive Edition. :P

Hopefully they'll sort out the terrible DLDI performance too while they are at it. :P

DS-Xtreme might be even slower then this card but at least they had a method of updating the FPGA for the end user at the time the card was still getting updates.

They should have just put a USB port on this thing and did something similar because at this point they know they will have to fix the FPGA code again in the future most likely...that's if they even care about this card anymore.

What was the issue? was it the power cycling when closing the lid?

From the "Testing EZ Flash Parallel" thread, on page 2 basically.

CRITICAL BUG, it seems the kernal does not finish loading after launching the game, so if i launch a new nds game, it says do not turn off power, but after it launches the game, if you turn off the console within 30 seconds, the entire __EZDS folder is corrupted(block level corruption) and the only way to fix it is to completely reformat the memory card, moving back and forth entire game library you had on the sd card.. PLEASE FIX this, it is extremely annoying, either prolong the message of "do not turn off power or do something else.

You didn't hear this from me ;) ;)
Product name change: Original run known now as EZi or EZ Flash Inferior
Jury still out on product name once production line issues ironed out

Most of the cheap shitty NDS cards on AliExpress have little to no issues. EZ-Flash tried reinventing the wheel, crashed and burned with this product, and charge way too much compared to the cheaper offerings that don't have these issues. The best feature of this thing so far is the clear shell, honestly.

Sounds like a generic response with no true explanation. But, it seems like production lines are flooded. You never know.

I take production line issues as either new cart revision or production has been halted. With all the issues and complaints there is little chance they needed to scale up production. New rev or EZ Flash Reform repeat likely.
