I have a 400GB microSD LOL try to remove 100 games at once. With xci it’s just select them and remove. With NSP it would take ages

What a load of rubbish. I too have a 400gb card. I used to use sxos and now I'm on kosmos. Nsp is a lot better. The fact I dont need to emulate each game I want to play is more important then the 5 mins it takes to install nsp files. I also dont care for hdd support as I have a 400gb card. Sxos also takes an extra few weeks to support the latest firmware too.

Each to there own but I have sxos and the free variations out there and I'm sticking with the open source people.

Oh and to delete a game is 2 button presses and I dont remember the need to delete all 100 games at once. That's what the format feature is for.

XCI / emuNAND has to be the winner. At least you have a fighting chance of maintaining online ability through OFW that way.

I get NSPs are smaller / faster / more convenient (I mean, fuck me... It`s soooooo difficult to press the album icon and tap on a game you would like to play. Come on!)

If you aren`t totally computer-inept then Atmosphere does get stuff first. Apparently. But using NSPs, expect to be banned. No ifs, no buts, sooner or later, you will forget to delete your wifi, reboot into ofw and its curtains for that nice certificate in your PRODINFO.

Nice simple flow chart of sorts...

Do you have a life?
  • No - Use Atmosphere
  • Yes - Use SXOS
And I say that as a massive "fan?" of both.
And how about people that don't care about pirated games :P (like me)

Last time I checked it was somewhere around that mark. (Might've been £15)

--------------------- MERGED ---------------------------

But it's double that apparently ($30).
That seems a bit cheap, the MSRP is $25 but most sites are selling it for $30 or more (which gives you an idea of their profit margins), I've never seen any sell it for less. I don't know how much SX is charging stores, but I'm guessing they charge them almost as much as the MSRP, since stores feel the need to upmark it by an additional $5 or more. So if they were that cheap, the store would probably lose money.

Switched to atmosphere in the last days (from RAJNX) and I think I‘ll stay with it. Everything working great so far.

128gb would have been filled up months ago, of course you would use it 'exclusively portable' because you can't put any external storage on yours :D
A couple SD cards can easily be swapped in and out, and keep the device actually portable. If you're not a brainlet and can figure out how to install a modchip, it's as easy as swapping SDs and pushing the power button :)

swapping sd cards is so lame when i can have TB of games on external storage. to be honest the kids have it docked most of the time, but if we're away i can take the SSD and easily copy XCI files on to the SD card or even run them from a SSD.

portable experience why do you play games while your jogging or something ? . I dont think anyone thinks my kids are idiots not when their friends see all the games in the SX menu , i mean 128gb you wouldm't get that many on it but on a 4TB i can get 100s :)
>he actually has a bunch of shit hanging out of his console all the time, and has to unplug it all and shove dongles in to turn everything back on
If I saw you or your kids in public, I would cringe and laugh. Epic meme! :rofl2:

a couple of 128gb sd cards, 256 gb :rofl2:, i've got near 5tb of storage, 20 times what you have :rofl2:

no need for mod chip when i only need to take the sd card out to put games on it, which is pretty rare when i've got near 5TB of storage (unlike you sd card swapping) , now with the excellent SX installer i can copy games from external storage so i have to remove the sd card even less now:bow:.

keep swapping and wearing your precious sd card slot contacts out :ha:

you know SX is the way for you to go, now they've brought out support for 6.2 it must be one of the worse days of you life. still you can go back to moaning about stolen code as you swap your 2 128gb sdcards :rofl2:

happy Xmas and New Year to you :)

anyone really surprised why people so passionately dislike sx os?

everyone of their supposed buyers sounds like a bad tv commercial.

that said, the other side doesn't act much better either.

You seem really butt-flustered, Joe. Try not to hurt your keyboard while seething, mashing each key to build that wall of text in defense of the $30 you threw away. ;v)

Its funny how no one takes into account that sx os is the only way to run homebrew and backups and use online services without going into a more than 2h lomg process of backup and restore sysmand.

do you work for tx?

a 400gb sd card is all you need when you want your device to be portable, considering 98% of my gameplay is in handheld (had the switch for 10 months, plugged the dock in last week for the first time) it means its pointless to me to have a hard drive plugged in. i played zelda inc dlc on the switch in handheld mode and same with mario. so again, hdd is useless to me.
as for wearing out an sd slot, you can stop dribbling rubbish in the forums. you aint going to wear it out. you will wear out your usb port before you wear out the sd card slot.

so if you want to claim that the best $30 is spent for hdd support, yeah maybe for you, for me, i will never use it.

to go one better, i have sxos as well and well i use kosmos. if sxos was the be all and end all of cfw i would use it, but i dont.
if you give me a decent reason to go back, i would but for me, my cfw works perfect for what i do and its free for everyone.
oh but it has tinfoil, yep, woopty doo. plenty of software around now to copy/move files and install nsp/xci.

you will be better of spending your time praising on the TX forums as they may care. most on gbatemp wont.

people can use what they want. but your post would turn me off from using sxos. you make there community seem toxic.

keep sticking that dongle into your switch, you will wear out that precious usb port

what you should be saying is its the easiest firmware to setup and get going. which it is. now thats a better selling point to me then a lot of jibber about 5tb of pirated crap on a hard drive.

SX OS is best by far. There's no EmuNAND, XCI Loading, USB HDD support, or retro game launching directly from the homescreen, without SX OS.

Last one isn't true. There's a Retroarch NSP as well. Also SX Installer isn't on the home screen either.

That's not true... Do you still live in June 15th?

Anything is better than SX because they are free and free is the whole point of pirating. Of course those who already pay for it won't admit that and lie to themself that they got what they pay for so they don't regret paying for free stuff.

It's like the difference between joining a fitness club and having access to a nice clean squash court vs having to deal with public amenities that might be dirty, dangerous, contested, et al.

A fitness club? You mean the one you pay and feel guilty for never show up? If you want to lose your fat just put your shoe on and go for a jog. And don't make it sound like your "premium membership" make you safe either, it no better than othe cfw when it come to falseproof.

It's a premium experience. I know you're regretting some life choices when you can't afford $30, and I'm really feeling very sorry for you. But you really do get what you pay for, hun.

@SylverReZ, I also heard one of the Prince of Persia games was so unfinished that it required the "24/7 online" drm so a puzzle could be done and the game could be finished. And that when the Ubisoft servers were closed the (cracked) game was impossible to finish or something like that
