A is a few basic rules of CBHC somewhere along the line . You must have broken one of them... CBHC is perfectly safe ... Unless you don't follow the instructions
Safe? Yeah, I guess so. Perfectly? Well, considering the number of Wii U consoles that were lost to CBHC since it's release, perfectly safe doesn't come to my mind. All that for shaving off 20 seconds to load CFW when you boot the console.

It's perfectly safe .. No need to be paranoid about it at all .. Been using it forever . Just don't open the Haxchi folder after CBHC don't delete the original profile . Or the game you used to create CBHC .. 99%, of people who killed there WIIU .. Did because they were unaware or didn't care .. Or most probably bought a pre hacked system ..

Perfection (noun): the condition, state, or quality of being free or as free as possible from all flaws or defects.

CBHC is perfectly safe, but:

- don't open the Haxchi folder after CBHC (What does that do?)
- don't delete the original profile
- don't delete the game you used to create CBHC
- don't format the system

You see what I'm saying? If this is perfectly safe, we have an irreconcilable different view of perfection.

what will happen if you set a game to coolboot and then you remove the NNID with which the game was purchased?
If the WiiU bricks, then its Nintendo's problem, if it won't brick, then CBHC has room for improvement.

I know what you're trying to say but that sounds more like USER ERROR as opposed to CBHC issues.

I won't pull up a dictionary definition of user error. I think you know what it is already. :)

Yes, of course, I agree. All brick cases are user error, as far as I know. If someone knows what he's doing, and he's the only one using the console, then yeah, CBHC is pretty safe. But the thing is, there are unsuspecting noobs out there, and it's not their fault that they don't know about all these things. Plain old Haxchi is what I would call perfectly safe! Never heard of a single case of someone bricking just by using Haxchi.

You know we can debate this in circles .. Endlessly But the fact is for me anyways... We have 2 hacked WIIU systems both with CBHC For over a year.. One mine one my son's .. & he is only 8 years old & if he can follow the rules .. Anyone can .. But people do mess up

I did not delete the profile, but I modified the region, country in configuration and removed a game from the USB HD... nothing more...

That probably did it. Your nnid is bound to the country, so by doing that you invalidated your own coldboothax setup. Not entirely sure, but might be the case.

I believe it.

Sounds About right....

If I send the console to Nintendo Support would not solve the problem?

No, but the solution is to change the emmc, the nand and the CPU for one from another damaged console that has those good components.

--------------------- MERGED ---------------------------

ATTENTION IF YOU JUST CHANGE THE NAND OR IF THE COMPONENTS ARE OF DIFFERENT CONSOLES YOU WILL FUCK THE CONSOLE WITH A WORST BRICK

And this is why I used Mocha
And why? All the bricks were caused by user error. Nothing else. See this list and you understand what i mean. I have cbhc since 2017 and never had any problems with it. As long as you follow the rules, you are on the safe side. Even the guide says you, that you have to follow this rules. Otherwise it can cause a brick. And if they don't make a backup, it's their own fault. Then they've earned it.

Just preference. I wanted cfw that came with no brick risk

@SylverReZ, I also heard one of the Prince of Persia games was so unfinished that it required the "24/7 online" drm so a puzzle could be done and the game could be finished. And that when the Ubisoft servers were closed the (cracked) game was impossible to finish or something like that
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
@Xdqwerty, That's extra scummy. Ubisoft nowadays ship out incomplete games like Skull and Bones which was being worked on for nearly a decade now.

I like that games can be fixed after the fact, hate that it's being abused via beta tests... And DLC... I was a 7800 owner back in the day and loved Impossible Mission, turns out I couldn't beat it because it was actually impossible lol
