I tried editing the .meta to <drc_use type="unsignedInt" length="4">2</drc_use>

to <drc_use type="unsignedInt" length="4">1</drc_use> and still no luck for ds games.

Am I doing anything wrong?

"drc_use" is to enable or disable Wii U Gamepad use.. i dont know what paremeters are the ones to enable Wii U Pro Controller, assuming the app itself has this feature enabled in the code, because the other VC have options for Pro Controller.. it's just a matter to go and investigate in the files what is the difference!

Sorry about all the questions but do you know of a site that lists what all the parameters do in the meta files? I tried finding what the parameters do what in google and I couldn't find anything. Thanks again for the help if you find anything, I've just trying to figure out how to do this for weeks. I'm starting to think it's impossible to use a wii u pro controller for ds games.

Hopefully someone will mod the Wii u pro controller to work with ds emulation on the Wii u. There just isn't a easy way around it. I wish there was a guide or a Homebrew program to use that would help. I get no luck with hid to vpad and I don't want to have to buy a dongle for Bluetooth just for something that should've worked out of the box for Wii u ds emulation. Nintendo sadly should've at least gave us the option to use one.

It'll be kind of hard but not imposible because the controller parameters are harcoded in the rpx file (I managed to convert it to .elf and inspect the file), but without the source code of the NDS emulator it's not an easy task.
I know using hid to vpad for NDS alternate controllers its complicated, but for now its the only way available.

Is this a request?

I really hope it leads to more controls options on the wii u ds emulation, that would be great. I'd request that. Most people I ask about this can't seem to get this to work. It seems to only work with dongles or with hid to vpad although I don't think there is config for hid to vpad for wii u pro controllers, I could be wrong though.

SUPER nice to see these roll out for those of us out there trying to make do without a gamepad! Big thanks for that! Seems I'm having some 'float' issues with WUP Installer GX2 however. I was thrilled to see it fire up and be functional with a wii mote, but some of the selections are erm... difficult to work with. When I click on 'install' it instead selects the selection in the list to the left of it. I did manage to get one thing installed - however, upon doing so, it did throw a -3 error, eventually rebooting back to WUP Installer GX2 briefly - throwing a 'no titles found' message before returning to the wiiu menu - with the title installed and playable however! :D THANK YOU for the work that's going into these. Hope this report helps nail down a few issues. Keep this stuff coming! :D

It would be really nice if you can get a video of this as it is really hard to understand what is going on. Did you use the Channel or the .elf? When using the wiimote do you use the pointer of it or the dpad?

Weird... the Wii Mote BTW works in vertical mode not horizontal ... i'd like to see this in video too.

I can try to provide as much info as possible for sure. It was the elf, and I can reproduce it - at least the float aspect. As I said - it's somewhat difficult to actually use so getting things to install is a bit more of a trick. Attempting to use the pointer produces the 'float' effect I'm talking about. The cursor will display on top of the 'install' icon, but attempting to use it will select / deselect the title to the immediate left of it. I'm still not entirely sure how I got the install function to go through the first time to be honest. However - once I did, it went through the normal install process as you would expect. After that was done, it threw a -3 error - booted back into usb loader GX *briefly* showed a no titles found message, and rebooted back to the main wiiu menu, with the title installed and functioning. I'm a lurker, so posting links or video as a 'new guy' is hard, but if doing so would help, I can work around it in DM or the like I'm sure. :) Let me know! Glad to assist any way I can.

The pointer doesn't work for selecting anyway, don't use it. You have to use the DPAD... what you are doing is simply selecting the last item selected with the DPAD with A.

Ah-ha! Moment on my end... excuse me. I created problems unnecessarily. If anyone else comes across this issue - it was because I was using CBHC directly into the homebrew channel. Booting into the wiiu menu first, then the homebrew channel I had no -3, or any other issues. Thanks for sticking with me! Again - this work is pure gold. Thank you both for the assist!

I'll add support for the pointer as soon as I'm finished with modding HBL. I have some code in there that I can merge into Wup Installer gx2.

Good strives guys, in love it!

Edit: Off topic (of course!):
I'm planning to do some tests regarding network speeds VS wifi/Lan adapter and different drives (SD, wii formatted drive, fat32 drive). From this, maybe we can find ways to improve speeds during network transfers.
