Is there a way to save data? I wanna play Super Mario Sunshine, but since the data wont save, there really isn't a point in playing it.

It looks as though you have not enabled Memcard Emulation in Nintendont.
Have you set Memcard Emulation option to ON in Nintendont settings? Without this, GC games will NOT save.

In case you don't already know, by default this injector creates GC injects to Auotboot straight into the game, so you will not be able to access the Nintendont settings.

If your creating your OWN GC injects:
To do this, you have to Disable Autoboot in the injector app, once you created your inject, then from here once you boot up the GC inject, go to the settings and change this option, you MUST boot the game for the settings to save, if you simply change the Nintendont settings and just exit, this WILL NOT save.

Alternatively, you can just boot into vWii mode and launch Nintendont straight from the Homebrew Launcher, change your settings, again, you have to BOOT a game for the settings to save.
NOTE: Must have a GC ISO on your SD CARD for this method, so obtain your own GC ISO and put the file on your SD CARD at the following location:
SD CARD/Games/Name of Game/game.iso
Above is how the folder should be set out for Nintendont to boot GC games straight from the SD CARD.

If your not creating you own GC injects and downloading them from elsewhere, follow the alternative method above.

Ah, that makes sense. I appreciate the help!

Hello,

I managed to do an Injection on Fire Emblem Radiant Dawn but for the PAL version the controller just gets crazy and do inputs on it's own, for the USA version when I try to boot it I just get a black screen after the Wii logo on the gamepad and my controllers(wii mote + gamepad) gets disconnected and nothing happens, I have to unplug the power cable to be able to reboot my wii u...
Does anyone have a solution for any of these please? Thank you.
I'm running on Haxchii on a EUR version WII U 5.5.2.

After I've run my games through this tool and created folders on my PC like WUP-N-RB4E_...... how do I then get them installed on my USB HDD? Do I just need to put these folders in the root of my SD card and then use wupinstaller to install them to USB?

First, check out the WiiU VC Wii inject compatibility list site and read the notes regarding this game for the EUR/PAL version, as for the black screen issue with USA versions of Wii games, this is normal, where possible if your EUR/PAL region console, always inject using your region.
Some USA Wii games doesn't have the PAL video modes coded into the game and you will always get black screen, if this is the case, your only option is to use the "Patch video mode with Wii-VMC.." option in the Advanced tab. What this does is attempt to patch the video modes to PAL, my experience, this works most of the time, however where are a few games that refuses to work.

I copy/pasted a lot of this from a reddit post I made, but it seems here is more active.

I had Wii U USB helper convert some gcm rips into files I could install with WUP Installer GX around 6 - 8 months ago. I kind of just left it there as a proof of concept - but I had Sunshine and a few others running well.

I just got USB Helper working again (with https://old.reddit.com/r/CemuPiracy/comments/8lafx6/alternative_workaround_wii_u_usb_helper_without/). I wanted to add some more games while it's working. It prompted me to update Nintendont on my SD card so I let it and injected a few games.

I'm having intermittent problems launching the games. Sometimes they launch fine. Once I launched and got to a Nintendont screen where it froze building a memory card. Often it crashes at a black screen. Freezes require pulling the power cord. Seems pretty random whether they'll work or not, for example I tried to launch Sunshine and got a black screen twice before it worked the third time.

  1. Should I use something like this Injector instead? Would it be more successful? Presumably at this point it's more updated than USB Helper's code.
  2. I've never hacked my vWii, and there's nothing Nintendont related installed on my Wii U (no channel/tile, nothing in HBC). Is that ok? Does it just need to be on my sd card?
  3. The USB Helper injector has a Force 4:3 option. I see TeconMoon's has something similar. How do I know when to use that?
  4. Lastly is there any way of rendering/outputting the games at 720p or adding HD texture packs etc? My understanding is that vWii is restricted to Wii hardware specs so my gut feeling is no but couldn't hurt to ask. I've seen some absolutely gorgeous videos of Sunshine on Dolphin but my laptop won't run it.
EDIT: I should probably mention I'm running CBHC v1.6. As far as I know no other CFW has ever been run on this Wii U (although I bought it second hand so I'm not 100% sure)

Hey everyone

I'm having a problem specifically with the game Arc Rise Fantasia - this supposedly has classic controller support, so I emulated that. It works fine when in the opening credits, but once I hit "start" to begin a new game, it comes up that I need to connect to the wii mote. Now, this wouldn't be much of an issue, I have a wii mote and have no problem using that if I have to, the problem is once the game boots up it causes the wii mote to turn off and it's impossible to sync it again.

Anyone have a similar problem with a game?

Classic Controller needs re syncing, here is what you need to do:

Once you boot up the game, don't press start yet then do the following.

- Press the HOME button on GamePad to get to the Home Menu.
- Hold POWER button on GamePad until the GamePad turns off, this will only turn off the GamePad not the WiiU console.
- Wait a few seconds, then press the POWER button on the GamePad to turn it back on.
- Press any button on the GamePad a few times to re sync.
- If successful, you will see the hand/finger pointer on the screen which you can move with the left analogue stick.
- Press the HOME button on the GamePad to return to the game.
- GamePad should now emulate the Classic Controller.

Added Notes:
In GamePad mode for Wii injects, ALL other controllers are disabled, that means you wont be able to use your Wii Remotes. To play with traditional Wii Remote/Nunchuck/Classic Controller, you need to select NO for GamePad mode when you first boot up the game.

Well WUP Installer GX2 didn't work. It gave an error saying to check that all the WUP files were present. I did rename the folders to add the game name at the start so that I knew which was which but that wouldn't stop it installing would it?

So how do I install them?

Did you try not renaming them? They'll have real names on the menu once installed

Renaming folders generated by WiiVC Injector isn't a problem as long as you don't use special characters on it !

Ok, so I'm trying to inject Kirby's Return to Dream Land but every time I try to build the title, I get this error message:

System.IO.DirectoryNotFoundException: Could not find a part of the path 'C:\Users\Spai\AppData\Local\Temp\WiiVCInjector\SOURCETEMP\ISOEXTRACT'.

The only setting I changed was to make the Wii U Gamepad emulate a horizontal Wii Remote. Also the title keys are correct. Any help?

UPDATE: nvm i did it.

UPDATE 2: god dammit now an error occurs after launching the game. help will be appreciated.
