Because AuReiNAND doesn't have ARM11 support yet, and cannot do things such as region free until it does. Aurora wants to learn more about ARM11 before implementing such a feature.

Ah, okay, I see. Just thought about that, because this System Menu "patch" seemd so simple, yet powerful.
Did I understant that right, that the CFW just isnt able to patch the System Menu by itself yet? :-)

Edit: derp. I guess you meant added to AuReiNand. With the loader though, it's already done. Nothing to implement.

Aha, I did though... Read through the write up on his blog at least. I saw his release on Github, just not that one I guess. Thanks for pointing it out.

I believe so. No CFW has implemented that sort of patching yet, but with this new loader by yifanlu, it might be done soon.

ah... I see. But just do the loader part and forget about the Cosmo CFW. Do the loader, and there is nothing else to be done with AuReinand (I think ). It'll just work.

A9LH or Menuhax?

Both now -.-. Last night, it was only A9LH that wouldn't load, since I was told to change my theme to stop menuhax booting up as "i didn't need it" I can't even get that working now.

I'm new to all this you see, so if there was a problem there, I couldn't pinpoint it myself

Delete menuhax, you no longer need it with A9LH.
Make sure you're on the latest version of AuReiNAND.
Place the firmware.bin file in the /AuReiNAND/ folder.
If you're mainly using sysNAND, press Select when booting up your 3DS and enable all 3 options.

Hey people. So i installed a9lh recently and everything is good. I was asking myself if there was a way to load FTPbrony early when booting as A9lh is allowing me with decrypt9,emu9 and so on. The only reason im asking this is if i updated my 3ds but CFW does not support lastest nintendo update, i dont really wanna open/close my N3ds all the time to switch data in my microSD card (and so why it would be an interesting idea if possible to be able to boot FTP early).

For now, I see 2 possibilities:
1- Wait for smea (and others) to release an a9lh homebrew laucher.
2- Don't update your console with latest update until someone confirm that all is OK.

Hey Aurora Wright! Can you converge arm9loaderhay with the loader? It supports passwords and different button combinations! maybe instead of binary, you can make the folders say: YBLR - indicating that the Y , b, l, and r button are being pressed to go into the payload. also currently, arm9loaderhay only supports Fix94's A9LH and the passwords are limited to being: LEFT,RIGHT,DOWN,UP,A and you have to press it really slowly and deliberately

No, we have not gotten netcode running under arm9loaderhax.

What do you mean CFW does not support latest nintendo update?

I have been trying to find it but no luck. The only one I found is from NTR but doesn't work with YifanLu's cfw.

Ah, I gotcha. That being said, just read the threads first whenever an update comes out and you'll be fine.

Like I said, we haven't been able to get netcode running on a9lh yet, so until that happens no FTP.

That'll only happen when a new NATIVE_FIRM is released. The devs would just need to patch the new FIRM so the CFW can support it.
