And (Au)ReiNAND have a smart Patching feature, so devs are not needed! That'll only happen when a new NATIVE_FIRM is released. The devs would just need to patch the new FIRM so the CFW can support it.

Umm you can just patch the firmware.bin you already have and use with Aureinand with this loader replacement.AND the language plugin configured... or a Gateway.
But This is looking promising. I can't wait until someone releases this with sigpatches/RF and such as a secondary installer to the arm9loaderhax installer. CFWs would then basically only need code for emunand (and not even be required at all if you don't want an emunand).
What does screen brightness have to do with GBA games' save?Anyone confirm get if GBA games save is broken for users without 9.0 form on latest gihub pull?
Got it, so it a brightness bug? What does screen brightness have to do with GBA games' save?
The pull request's title is "Increase the screen brightness again". Why don't you try an older version and tell us if the bug keeps appearing? Try the past 4-5 builds. Be sure to replace arm9loaderhax.bin at the root of your SDcard.Got it, so it a brightness bug?

Edit: How could screen brightness create such a mess? It's like saying you opened the fridge and the oven got destroyed.![]()

Which I've already done for both o3ds and n3ds, 9.0 10.2 and 10.4.![]()
How would you go about patching it? I read the read me on the github but I am not sure how to go about manipulating the NCCH and what not.
It does work and the specific firmware he mentioned doesn't really matter. (I've done 9.0 10.2 and 10.4 myself and all work... for me at least, results may vary). They don't work. I already tried that. Besides, the SHA1 is not the same as YifanLu described.

No, i booted my modified firmware.bin with Aureinand. So, were you able to boot his cfw? Because it always gives me a black screen.
Thanks in advance
I thought that the region free didn't work on the o3ds regardless?I did that as well. But Aureinand patches the firmware.bin as you know.
To know if it works, you can install out-of-region cias and see if they show up. YifanLu also stated that this grants a temporary region change by placing Secureinfo-A file on the root of the sd card. I couldn't do that.
I know it works, i was able to boot my USA Persona Q cart on my EUR systems without doing anything other than turning it on and sticking the game in. No temp region change or anything else needed.I did that as well. But Aureinand patches the firmware.bin as you know.

Shouldn't patching the firmware file with the loader make it region free?I thought that the region free didn't work on the o3ds regardless?
@zoogie posted this in the injector thread:Shouldn't patching the firmware file with the loader make it region free?
That's what I've been told at least.
Interestingly new 3ds worked for region free, but old3ds did not. The loader moduledid function at least though. Tested with EUR mario 3d land legit on US consoles.
