I downloaded AuReiNAND v3.14 and it doesn't have the rei folder in the archive

rei folder was replaced by aurei.

It should be in the archive O.o

As soon as I extracted it, it was there

Hmmm, I'm not sure, I didn't actually go into the folders I just copied and pasted as soon as I extracted it from the archive.

There shouldn't be anything in the aurei folder. You have to add the firmware.bin in yourself.

There shouldn't be anything in the aurei folder, until you put them in there. You plop the fresh firmware files in (don't put your pre patched ones in there) and boot it up.

If you don't want to patch it yourself, you can find one pre patched on that iso site. Look for a post by ihaveamac

I think latest gihub pull breaks game boy advance save support again; upon exiting game it calls for firm90 resulting an exit to a black screen. This is on an updated sysnand without a firmware 9.0

True, for that you need NTR.

AND the language plugin configured... or a Gateway.

But This is looking promising. I can't wait until someone releases this with sigpatches/RF and such as a secondary installer to the arm9loaderhax installer. CFWs would then basically only need code for emunand (and not even be required at all if you don't want an emunand).

Because AuReiNAND doesn't have ARM11 support yet, and cannot do things such as region free until it does. Aurora wants to learn more about ARM11 before implementing such a feature.

However, in light of certain events with Yifanlu's loader, I wouldn't be surprised to see region-free support added in the near future, granted the loader could do something like that. Yifanlu's write up on his blog is pretty informative, and he talks about the possibilities of adding things like custom keyboards and custom buttons on the home menu. Interesting stuff...
