It's a file where you can list files from the iso to be loaded in advance, it can give problems when you try to load a lot of things since it can overload the wii's memory. If you're not using one then it probably isn't your problem. That's why I suggested that you try a different sd or even a thumbdrive.
That's a good advice, the problem is... hmmm... I want to use my generic controller, so use an HDD is not an option, hehe. I will try that cache.txt thing and tell you. Thanks.

Try using the controller.ini for generic controller, it could work for you, and it was made by faku1810 xD, that controller.ini works in my 2 USB controllers.

EDIT: Try this, https://nintendon-t.googlecode.com/...ler_Genreic_USB_Gamepad_PID=0079_VID=0006.ini copy form Generic USB Gamepad to the end, don't copy the text before that, after that paste all the text to the notepad, select "save as" and then name the archive controller.ini (delete the .txt), try that, don't forget to put in the root of your SD/USB or both when you use Nintendont :) !

I don't really see why using an hdd would be an issue, since the wii has 2 usb ports, so you have one for the hdd (even if it needs a Y-cable to get power you can use an extension or just plug it to something else) or just a pendrive, and one for the controller . Also, you could use the .ini that goku junior linked to "as is", since the first part is ignored by nintendont anyways (it's just a short description that allows to list some controllers that work with it)

Also, it works only for the controllers that have said PID and VID, if yours is different it could work after some editing but depending on the controller other inis might be better. Anyways, I would suggest you don't try using the cache.txt until after you've got the games working, otherwise it will be harder for you to find out what's keeping your games from loading.

v1.84
Improved SI interface.
-It's still not quite right. We shouldn't need to false report errors and the
polling bits are never enabled.

Found a few more function patches for AI/SI.
-lwzu and stwu (already did lwz and stw)

Found a few functions related to SI in Mario Strikers that should be
generalized. They currently aren't needed, but if we improve the SI interface
further they will be. They're related to using memory instead of interrupts.
We need to write 0s to clear memory, not 1s. For now only apply to Strikers.

Thanks for the update. I'll test compatibility in the morning.

Hmmmm, so I don't have to use only the left port? Can I use the right one either for my gamepad?

FINALLY!! It was an error in the controller.ini file. I change some values in the Controller_PS2.ini and now it's working. Thank you so much Faku1810 and Goku Junior. Greetings.

Oh I forgot, I change the iso file, seems like it was broken after all.

Daxtsu, why is useful a cache file, let's say... hmmm... for Super Smash Bros for example? Do I need it so much for something?

For "Faster" loading...

v1.85
Clean up SI changes.

I moved some code around and removed some unneeded variables. It shouldn't change much from v1.84.
Smash Bros. Melee.... Black Screen on Boot?

Edit: NTSC v1.02
Edit2: AAAAAH! Double post! -.-

it seems every game you made it work on doing that dol/elf thing is no longer working

medal of honnor rising sun and european assualt went until the MC screen but we couldnt go further now they freeze with balck screen like they were before that rev

007 games all stopped working again, goldeneye no longer reaches mcemu screen, under fire also black screens like it was before. so i guess you fixed the si but all the games that have dol/elf thing are backscreening again.

i can confirm SSBM is also not booting now.

Here is so debugs from games i was trying that no longer boot or freeze before reaching mcemu screen like they did on 83.

Sorry I didn't see your previous posts earlier to reply, I'm glad you got it to work. As JuanLeonardo said, cache files are useful to get more speed or better loading times. the cache.txt that crediar made for SSBM is meant to make the boot and menu navigation smoother.

A slight regression for sure, to be expected to some degree when working on programs, but something that will be undoubtedly fixed

Uhummm! Well, then, now I have a new controller to add in the compatibility list, for the USB\VID_0810&PID_0001&REV_0106 gamepad. My first "collaboration" (Almost), hehehe :yayps3:

That's good to know, what exactly was your problem in the end? Were you missing the controller.ini?

Nah I just had to enable it in the settings, my bad.

Questions about WiiFlow, how do I get it working with GameCube games? All my Wii game covers show up normally but no GameCube. I already set it to Nintendont and I can only run it through File Explorer which just loads Nintendont instead of directly loading the game. Is this how it's suppose to be?

That worked thanks.

Also, I know you can't have more than one USB device at a time for multi-player but can you use one USB controller and one or more GameCube controllers?

yes you can, gc controllers take the priority so if you have a gc controller in port 1 your usb controller is player 2 etc.

yes you can use hid and gamecube controller on a backwards compatible wii like 2 GC controllers and a ps3 controller for 3 players, you must put hid on on the settings tough.
