So this weeks poll is quick and simple, will you be buying Destiny when it releases later this year?
:arrow:Destiny Wiki

If you have an idea for a poll you would like to see on the portal just send me a PM with PPOTW in the title and your questions and answers for the poll.

Nope.
I'm mainly a PC guy and don't have any consoles except the original PS2 and my brothers Wii, so the answer is no.
And maybe if it will have a PC release/port sometime in the future.

Good to know we have DIVERSE HARDCORE GAMERS here.

While I really think the game will be kickass I don't know if I'll buy it, mainly because it seems so co-op focused and, while I love my friends, they're real shitters when it comes to doing co-op. Things are a bit different now since we're all in college but in high school everyone would get super hyped for a game, everyone would buy it, and then play it out in a week and never touch it. I never had money so I was late to the game every time, I was lucky I got someone to play Borderlands with, no one owns a PS3 so Borderlands 2 has only been played with some people from here like once. The single player is boring as shit (not that the game itself is all that good) so what's even the point.

So Destiny seems pretty cool and everything but I may just wait until it's in the bargain bin and pick it up then, hoping that some of my friends still have it and are wanting for another go.

Or since they all play PC now they might just buy it on PC and leave me out to dry since my PC sucks.

Personally, I have already preordered it just to get into the BETA on PS4. You can preorder from amazon, get the code and then cancel your order and still get into the BETA.
It's in my top 5 most wanted so I am expecting a lot from the game. I just hope they don't try and go with the monthly subscription idea as I won't buy it if it turns out that is the case.
Bungie and Activision have said they have a 10 year plan for the game with updates and expansions so it should be pretty epic!

This might be the only physical game I actually buy for my PS4 (when I finally get one). Other than that, I'll let Sony shower me in free PS+ games.

Wait, 10 year plan for a shooter? How can anyone be kept so entertained for a shooter? That sounds very hard to pull off, no one can stay interested in that game for so long.... An RPG or MOBA is different, it's more diverse, not so intensive to play either. I can play Skyrim for 6 hours no problem, I can not play any shooter for 6 hours, it's way more intensive.

I think the difference here is that Destiny is Sort of a MMO in itself.
It's not just another Halo, it has RPG elements to itself, and from what we've heard. A very large world to traverse that could always be expanded on.

Will definitely grab it for PS4 at some point. Might even do what T-Hug mentioned above with pre-ordering on Amazon so I can try the Beta out. Game looks fairly fun, so I can't wait.

Talk to the Counter-Strike 1.6 community
There are others too, but the player base isn't as great anymore.

Valve games such as Half-Life 2, the Counter-Strike: Source, Day of Defeat (and it's Source version) still have an active multiplayer community, so it's very much possile.

To some people it's the other way around.
One of the main differences that separates this game from other FPSes are
1) It's also an RPG.
2) It's an MMO / Has MMO elements. Bungie is saying that it's not an MMO, but it's kinda obvious that's what they're going for. Anywho so we're going to see new content within in the game such as raids (yup, bungie said there will be raids), so it's not going to be the same game that will have a 10 year life spans, there will be new content that will keep the player busy.

Also I didn't see this posted, but here are a few new screens.

I'm definitely going to get this game if the rumor of it coming to PC is true.
