Does anyone know if there is uncensored release or patch for this Nintendo Switch game?

It has already been confirmed that all versions of Encore will be based on the Western i.e. censored version of the game regardless of region. So basically there is no "uncensored" version. I don't know enough about Switch hacking to completely rule out the possibility of an uncensor patch, but in order to get that working someone would have to take the files from the original Japanese Wii U release and get them working on the Switch. And we don't even know if that's possible since the game isn't out yet and we don't know how/if they changed the game data compared to the Wii U.

Tl,dr: No uncensored version and no uncensor patch until someone decides to try and make one

There already is another thread on the rom hacking Switch section, where people are working on it. They used a similar (but not the same) file structure or something compared to the WiiU. So a copy paste of the files wont work, but some work can be done with some conversions and all. They really need save files to test it and have a discord formed up, so people who already have the game should help.

A few of us are currently working on some things already. We have started work on re-editing the text and have completed things like switching back out textures.

I'm currently looking at the lua stuff since editing this is an issue with all the new additions.

Also, the files look the same but the contents aren't. Just 1:1 swapping is not gonna work and will crash your game.

Also, if anyone's already playing and can create some save files at the following points, that would be massively appreciated:
- Chapter 2 before picking up Maiko's magazine. Not sure which point this is.
- Chapter 2 at the last dungeon save point.
- Save with the photo shoot costumes unlocked (Tsubasa, Maiko, Eleonora)
- Save with Tsubasa's wedding dress unlocked.
- Tsubasa's 2nd side story (handing out fliers)

Work is being done. Or at least attempted. I have made some changes already but am currently in no position to test these out. I currently do not have the time to go through the game and make save files to perform tests with. If you like being a guinea pig or just have plans to play the game without the patch, your help would be appreciated.

For the record, I don't expect this to be done anytime soon (as in, this week), if at all. Not gonna promise anything. At the very least I think we can restore the text, costumes, posters (in the chapter 2 dungeon too), voice lines and videos. Little things that require specific lua changes will probably not be done mainly because I can't recompile it. Unless anyone else who has any knowledge on this chimes in, this is beyond my scope.

It hasn't been abanadoned, but progress is extremely slow and it's unclear whether it can ever be finished. Join the translation team's discord if you want to keep tabs on the project.
