This was a commercial for the PlayStation that was shown here in Scotland. It makes zero sense and does not show off any games ect.
All I will say FAST6191 is that the first advert is totally hated here in Scotland and the advert was dropped from Scottish TV after a few days because of the hate it got. I know it was shown in the rest of the UK for a good few months after. It was not so much the concept of the advert it was the Scottish person they used in it that was the issue. Is the one in the opening a bad advert?
Advertisers realised years and years ago (as in before anybody ever likely to read this was born) that you sell people on a lifestyle rather than stats. This was also during the peak of the memorable by weirdness phase advertisers were going through.
Being one of the bearded types* such things don't work as well on me (I would like them not to work at all but I have not managed to go full robot yet... one day, or maybe I could just lose the last vestige of such things and not have it work against me as much).
*there are many stories of sales/marketing wonks hosing up companies big time because they believed other marketing wonks (true believers are really hard to tell when they are lying or just stupid). To that end many companies tell tales of getting their marketing/sales oxygen thieves on the golf course and having to drag their bearded one along to speak to the other's bearded one about whether the item was actually suitable. However as said marketing people will think to upsell and thus make more money the bearded types tend to assess the situation and find the thing suitable for task to do the job.
Everybody hates the Scottish I suppose, none more so than the Scottish themselves.
