Why don't we request a recount or something? (I'm aware i'm stupid)
How refreshing to see you say the same thing in 2020... ah wait.Votes recounting is one of the stupidest shit ever that is mostly demanded by sore losers who won't stfu about democracy being our strength unless they lose.
It is extremely rare for recount to change the outcome, especially closest election with less than 100 between two candidates. Why don't we request a recount or something? (I'm aware i'm stupid)
Voter ID YEAAAA
Under Project 2025 violent games will be banned or heavily censored. And that's a good thing. You don't like it? Just join the army!
Voter ID YEAAAA
I don't even have a problem with it on principle, but then the DMV shouldn't only be open Monday through Friday 8-4.Voter ID and proof of citizenship should be a thing, but in exchange, ID cards should also be "free". I want my free tax payer funded ID card!
You won't get any government organization to be open outside of banking hours, it's just unrealistic.I don't even have a problem with it on principle, but then the DMV shouldn't only be open Monday through Friday 8-4.
A non driver's license is actually free too
In Wisconsin, Scott Walker implemented voter ID law and proceeded to then shut down DMVs in Milwaukee and Madison too.
Not here, it's like 41 dollars in PA.A non driver's license is actually free too
That's by design here. The DMV is an organization where it should be.You won't get any government organization to be open outside of banking hours, it's just unrealistic.
I can understand them charging a few dollars for the plastic, card maker maintenance, etc. for a non driver's license. Free is not really free, as someone has to pay for it...That's by design here. The DMV is an organization where it should be.
And I guess the non driver's license ID being free must vary per state then.
Which in some states makes that a poll tax. Which is unconstitutional.
If it's going to be required to vote, it should be free and easily accessible, otherwise it becomes a poll tax which is unconstitutional.I can understand them charging a few dollars for the plastic, card maker maintenance, etc. for a non driver's license. Only if the sole purpose of your ID is to vote. However, state ID is used for many things, like proving you are old enough to drink at the bar...If it's going to be required to vote, it should be free and easily accessible, otherwise it becomes a poll tax which is unconstitutional.
So a voter ID, which would have your DOB anyway, would be free but the state ID, which functionally would act the same way shouldn't be?Only if the sole purpose of your ID is to vote. However, state ID is used for many things, like proving you are old enough to drink at the bar...
