Polls leading up to election day had shown a tie, with the balance in the pivotal swing state of Pennsylvania. However, as of writing Kamala is set to lose all 3 Rust belt swing states.

Trump is currently set to win more EVs than the 2016 election, and perhaps the popular vote for the first time.

Trump has promised cabinet level positions to political allies with Musk set to head the department of government efficiency and RFK JR to lead efforts relating to healthcare. RFK JR has discussed banning vaccinations and pesticides.

The house and Senate are also likely to fall into Republican hands, giving their party control over all 3 branches of government - executive, legislative and judicial.

What do you think will be first on the agenda?

Maybe not first, but illegal deportations and arrests will be high on the list, expect police to be given immunity for everything up to and including torture/rape. Buy guns if you don't have them already.

Same story as with Clinton. Polls favored her, Trump still won. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Russia America First, North Korea America next.

They won't have a super majority in the House. So Dems will still have some power there.

You only need a majority of 1 to pass legislation

If it's more contentious you might have infighting in your own party and trouble passing

2/3 majority only matters for breaking presidential veto - but why would Trump veto his own party anyway

Trump would have a hard time to deport illegals to unfriendly countries and Mexico could stop take them, so Trump has nowhere to remove the illegals if other countries don't take it. Trump could penalize with sanction but due to de-dollarization of US dollar, it make sanction useless and not helpful.

Not just domestic issues, Trump has to deal with geopolitics. China is likely to invade Taiwan during Trump's 2nd term, so it gets very ugly quickly.

That depends on states and your state - Colorado took qualified immunity away and if criminals aren't getting charged at federal level, so they will face in state court.

There will be very overwhelming numbers of legal battle to thwart some of Trump's agendas, so not all of them like conservative lawyers went after Biden to thwart some of his agendas.

https://www.cnn.com/2024/10/19/politics/trump-mass-deportation-cost-cec/index.html
The number of countries deemed “recalcitrant” by the Department of Homeland Security as of 2020. That term applies to countries that generally won’t accept deportation flights or help provide travel documents to their citizens when the US wants to remove them.

The list at the time included China, Cuba, India, and Russia, according to the Migration Policy Institute.

Exactly which countries are on the list can fluctuate amid geopolitical turmoil and diplomatic pressure. During the Trump administration, officials used visa sanctions to pressure some uncooperative countries to comply. During the Biden administration, officials negotiated with Mexican authorities to send some deportees from uncooperative countries there.

But agreements over deportation can be fragile. Venezuela, for example, had agreed to accept deportees, but the deal fell apart earlier this year, according to MPI.

It’s a significant issue that a new Trump administration would have to contend with for any major deportation operation, Houser says, particularly given that large numbers of migrants from those countries have come to the US in recent years.

“If they’re Cuban, they’re not going home. If they’re Venezuelan, they’re not going home,” Houser says.

Officials could negotiate deals for a third country to accept deportees, he said. But in the short term, it’s likely a second Trump administration would focus on nationalities that can be deported more quickly, Houser says. If higher numbers remain a priority, Houser says it’s also likely officials won’t focus as much on capturing criminals, because those arrests require more legwork and manpower.

“They’re going to grab the person that’s easily removable, because that will give them the numbers and the imagery,” he says.

Yes but Rwanda already agreed to this scheme once before, they would do it again easily
That's very bizarre and the US isn't type to deport illegals to countries that take refugees. I don't believe that immigration courts are going to allow and illegal would have to be deported to specific country that they born there.

The senate lacked 60 votes that is needed to end the filibuster and the reconciliation has limitation, so republicans are going to find anything is seen as easy and quick fix, rather than complicated fix, so easy and quick fix would be hire more ICE/CBP agents and put more judges in immigration court for example.

The supreme court was basically all appointed by Republicans

So they can do whatever they want

And Trump will probably get to appoint another one now (or 2)

Also, wow Florida, New Jersey and New York shifted 10 points to Republican compared to 2020.
Media reported democrat turnout is down.

I do think that situation with Palestinians turn many democrats off, so ultimately, they stay at home. Unpopular Biden pushed democrat enthusiasm down. Some voters think woman is incapable to lead the country.

There are conservative judges disagree with some of republican presidents. I'm saying about immigration court (lower court) approve the deportation to specific country that is based on where illegal is born, so if illegal born in Venezuela, so they have to deport to Venezuela.

Replace other conservative judges? Likely and replace other liberal judges? Unlikely unless there is surprise death like RGB in 2020.

Biden says one thing about caring about Palestine, and then gives Israel a ton of weapons at the same time. Your actions speak better than your words. Hopefully this is a wake up call. lol

Also, seriously, why aren't pushing harder for an end to that god forsaken DST bull shit?
