Valve announces limited edition white Steam Deck OLED

While Valve seems content with not updating hardware for the Steam Deck OLED for now, it looks like they are interested in releasing variant editions. A new limited edition white Steam Deck OLED system has been announced, and will be available in limited quantities. Sporting a white and grey color scheme and the same internals as the 1TB OLED regular edition, it'll be launching on November 18th at 3pm PST, retailing for $679.99--a slightly higher price point than the highest-end regular Steam Deck OLED.

So it will be more expensive just because its white and grey?
Which is even worse considering that anything which is usually that snow white turns yellow or gets stained very easily. A shell is a must for this one, basically rendering its entire point of sale void unless it's a clear shell case, and even then it's just a novelty that once you expose it to air, will collect visible scratches a lot easier, will turn yellow or stained with time, and will generally have to be treated with a lot more care than a black one (not that you shouldn't treat these devices careless either way).

I'm content with my black Steam Deck OLED as is, especially since the colour scheme here really is quite basic for a "Limited Edition", they really could've been a bit more creative with their so called limited edition.
