A ton of Nintendo fans in the UK have been left without the games they pre-ordered after a truck full of copies of Splatoon (and related Splatoon Amiibo) was stolen.
The theft of the truck, lifted on its way from Nintendo’s European warehouse to British chain GAME, means that anyone who pre-ordered Splatoon’s Special Edition from the retailer won’t be getting their copy.
MCV reports that affected customers can either cancel their orders or receive the game’s standard edition, along with a £10 discount.

Now, either the truck was stolen at random—the thieves running the risk of picking up a cargo load of cabbage or coat-hangers—or they knew exactly what they were getting.
I know Splatoon looks cool, and Amiibo are rare/valuable, but come on...

What is the world coming too. I know games are fun and amiibos are rare but there is no need to resort on stealing a truck for them, as if amiibo shortages weren't enough.

I feel sorry for those that won't be receiving what they pre-ordered. Damn thieves. You just had to steal their happiness too.

A truck full of cabbage or coathangers would be better value. I feel sorry for the guys who jacked that truck, maybe next time they'll actually plan it out and hit something of value instead. A bunch of copies of a shit game, and crappy amiibos for the former. Ouch. Definitely not worth the risk.

Though knowing Nintenyearolds the Amiibo price probably is high enough to buy the thieves some fast food for a little while.

I always find it hilarious how randomly aggressive you are in your posts!

why the fuck would they want a truck? :wtf:

well for one, trucks are expensive on their own.
also, considering we're talking about criminals here, they might need it for an actual heist. there's a medium chance they went for the videogame one as a diversion. you know, like in the Die Hard movies.

Damn that case is huge, but is cool.
  • D @ dadadad:
I was installing mods for games, but when I removed the romfs folder, an error occurred. Now when I try to launch the game, I see a yellow screen, and I have to reboot the switch. Reinstalling the game didn't help. Can you advise me on what to do to launch the game without mods?
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
    @dadadad delete sd:\atmosphere\contents
  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
You should find out from the mod dev how to uninstall it. Every mod is different on how you install/uninstall.
  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
@The Real Jdbye Wouldn't that take out bunch other stuff also?
  • D @ dadadad:
Is it safe to delete the entire atmosphere folder? I don't remember what else was there, like edizon and tesla menu are installed through atmosphere, is it not a problem, will I not damage the system? There were too many mods, I won’t be able to contact each one, nothing was said about deleting in the description.
