How is the tutorial coming along. I am dying waiting to get star sapphire on my sapphire

I will be doing more of it when I get out of class (college sucks) as long as nothing else comes up tomorrow afternoon is my estimate

so i made a hack of omega ruby. i changed the logo and randomized it. it works until i start the game. like. the new logo appears. but i just get a black screen when i try and play

decompress exefs\code
copy romhack romfs files into romfs\
repack romfs
delete first 0x1000 bytes of new romfs in hex editor

rename code & romfs binaries to what hans requires
put on sd card

>in hex editor
literally open the repacked binary in a hex editor, select 0 - 0xFFF, press delete, save file.
open hans, select game, enable redirection, and it'll list the folders you have to put everything in.

updates have to be deleted obviously, they're applied over top of the game's default contents (patches will overwrite with the code and the romfs of the patch)

or you can do this with computer if you have cia

install python2.7 and winhex first
then download PackHack blew

then put cia in packhack folder and use commend blew you can just write in a bat file and run it

ctrtool --contents=contents GS5-Perfect.cia
ctrtool -p --exefs=exefs.bin contents.0000.00000000
ctrtool -t exefs --exefsdir=exefs --decompresscode exefs.bin
ctrtool -p --romfs=romfs.bin contents.0000.00000000
ctrtool -t romfs --romfsdir=romfs --decompresscode romfs.bin

you will see a romfs folder
use pk3ds loading folder and edit
after edit and save use RomFS Builder rebuild
then use winhex open it delete 0X00000000-0X00000FFF save
rename to titleid.romfs put it in hans folder and test

tried to run the .bat with that code and nothing happened. no romfs folder, no new files or anything at all. do I have a bad cia, or does this sound like I did something stupid along the way?

does work with retail but it requires a moded rom for the hack to work

Installed python 2.7. Does that require a restart? Would explain a lot...and fall under that zac did something stupid easy fix category
