I bought a CPP XL on Amazon after hearing about and watching videos of their adaptation of DS games to work with the second analog stick. It arrived and I discovered that it doesn't work with CPP, only with the New 3DS, I feel devastated.

I think since the cpp is a different piece of hardware the ds games cannot see it but can see the n3ds cstick since its built into the console. But look on the bright-side games like Majora's Mask 3d and Kid Icarus uprising are way better with the cpp.

Howdy Shoco! I have some patch requests if you're still taking em!
Can I please get a cpad camera control patch for Call of Duty: MW3: Defiance, Call Of Duty 4 Modern Warfare, and MechAssault Phantom War?
Also can I please get a analog input controls patch for Sideswiped? I love that game B)

Hello Shoco! I've tried some of your patches and they are awesome. Thanks sharing them.
If you still accept requests, I would love to have an analog control patch for Diddy Kong Racing DS if possible. (Loved the N64 versions I wanna try the DS remake with proper controls).
Again, thanks a lot for the great work!

And there has to be non-widescreen TwlBg.cxi in the "sysmodules" folder, otherwise the games without widescreen support won't work (with these CPad mods).

This is important. To make everything work right I had to use TWL patcher twice: once for the widescreen patch (the one file that must be moved from sysmodules to TwlBg and renamed to widescreen.cxi) and once for the standard 4:3 look for ds and dsi games (to leave in sysmodules as it is). This way, when I want the 16:10 effect TWL refers to widescreen.cxi and for every other instance (cartridge, dsiware and TWL menu) it stays in 4:3 without force-stretching to widescreen.

Hello! It's possible to modify the sensitivity of the cstick on the cod games? I think it's a little too fast, especially when aiming snipers... Thanks!
Edit: How did you even map the cstick to the camera rotation? It can't be a normal abxy mapping...

I patched Zelda PH and Zelda ST with the D-Pad xdelta patches. Now I can't find the CirclePad cheats for them in TW menu. I tried editing UsrCheat.dat with the r4cce tool but while old C-pad patches still work for the previous games, it doesn't seem to register the patched Zelda DS games under their original game IDs...

Did anyone else make Zelda work with D-pad patch AND the Circle Pad cheats?

You may need to update the game ID (replacing or duplicating the original game entry) in R4CCE to match the new patched version - there's a […] button that loads an NDS file to the right of the ID boxes:

I think this is it, but how do I find out what the Game ID is, for the patched rom?

The bus ids are the numbers before ":" (0, 1, or 2). The table looks absolutely fine.
As I already said you have the third (and the last) kind of gyros where (unlike the other two) the axis X and Y should be swapped and the latter one inverted. At least, that's what I understood from the "rehid" code. Maybe it's not entirely true, I don't know. Either way, here is a version of the mod that should work for your gyro (I've just hardcoded that change). If it won't work properly, then probably this is it, I can't do anything else.

That's weird, as always. I think it will be a lot easier if you just send me your TwlBg. If you are fine with this idea then this is how you can get it: open TWPatcher, press Y+B, disable all check boxes, especially "rtcom" (you'll need to tick the last checkbox), press B, select the filter "Nintendo default", press Start to generate the TwlBg. Then finally take it from the usual place "/luma/sysmodules/TwlBg.cxi" and send it to me in a private conversation; or chat, or whatever it's called on this website. Basically, don't share it publically, etc.

Personally, never used them. And I don't remember anyone mentioning in this thread that it would work with the forwarders, so maybe they really don't. As for the widescreen issues, you may find it useful
I can confirm that this version works perfectly with the New 3DS gyroscope, which has had compatibility issues with previous patches. Thank you for your efforts in resolving this!

I was wondering if there’s a way to adapt this solution so it could be used with all patches that utilize the gyroscope, as well as other software that depends on RTCom, such as the GBARunner2 version for games like WarioWare: Twisted!

Hey, my 3DS broke recently, and when I got it fixed, I had to reinstall everything. So I also did that for Twilight Menu++. However, when I tried that, I ran into an issue. When installing the Widescreen patch everything works fine but as soon as I put the merged cheat database in the extras folder and try launching any game I just get a white screen and nothing else happens after that. Am I doing something wrong? If so how do I fix the issue?

Does anyone know if it is possible to apply this patch and be able to use it via the 3ds home menu? I downloaded NDS Cheat Database from Universal Updater for this, but when I checked the available cheats, I couldn't find this patch. I also could not find this patch in Twilight Menu anymore for some reason.

The easiest way to get this working is to copy the usrcheat.dat file you downloaded using Universal Updater to your PC and manually add the cheats to the games using R4CCE. You might be able to get something working using forwarders and the cheat function of Luma, but I don't know enough to say for certain.

I'm having an issue with the patch for the European version of Animal Crossing Wild World. It seems that having a large number of bells in your pocket (500k+) breaks the game, causing your character to constantly move in a certain direction regardless of input. This started happening immediately after selling a bunch of turnips and only went away once I turned off the patch. Could be that the bell counter is 'overflowing' into the part of memory that the patch code occupies?

Update: looks like after re-enabling the patch after disabling it seems to fix everything, even with the bells in my pocket. So, not game-breaking but does appear slightly unstable.

@shoco is there any way to make a cheat code that uses the circle pad pro instead of the c-stick?
i have an original 3ds but i don't want to buy a new 3ds just to enjoy these games properly.
