Superior or not i don know, but i think people want to buy SKY3DS because of online feature.
I own a gateway, but online feature really urge me to buy SKY3ds since ORAS will be out next week.

well gw already goes online, but they are working on it so you don't have to manually insert a header

Hello again , I know you guys are busy with a lot if things probably right
now, but I was just wondering if you guys are working on any type of online
functionality where it bypasses the unique card header check? Such as when
downloading a rom the header is wiped clean and turned into "FFFFFFFFFFFF" and
when trying to access online you get the following message "this game card Connot be used for online services"

You guys say your working on the save game system ... Are you aware that our
saves can only be used if they are 512 kb or higher example being Legend of
zelda 3ds save file is 128kb in size and can't be used no matter what ...was
just wondering how long do you guys think until your save game system is fixed

it takes 10 secs to inject a header, gateway rom patcher does all the work for you

If it's one thing I've learnt about cfw on consoles it's always keep on the lowest working firmware when possible.

Now just imagine I am hearing that new firmware will be supported soon and also the there will be a new gateway card for that

Gateway team would get 500+ emails a week regarding higher firmware support. How many GBATEMP users also send asking that question, has anyone gotten a reply? No, not that I know of.

I find it hard to beleive they wouldn't reply to a native english speakers cohesive email, yet they replied to an email which has clearly been run through google translate or the author has a very very low grasp of english language.

actually they did reply to me,here is the reply:

We are working on updating our support to the latest 9.x firmware including the
New Nintendo 3DS.
We will make an announcement when we are close to release.

We want to add: There is plenty of 4.5 firmware and below 3DS available. We
recommend people to trade their non-compatible console with a compatible one, it
is the best solution in the short term.

and when i asked again if it's going to be a new card or just a software update to the current gateway card,they said this:

I bought mine for 120$ from aliexpress on their 11 nov sale.
It was just an expensive alternative.

Gateway is not chinese the devs are not chinese so even if its true its just second hand information. The difference is kinda obvious you got the chinese sky3ds with its windows tools reminding me of neoflash, copyright infringing website and inproper english everywhere. Gateway always sounded like a european talking english to me, like german?
