It occurs to me there's another edge-case worth considering: it might be useful if Luma returned a useful error message if you try to start the Rosalina menu when boot.3dsx is missing instead of just crashing.If you want to go really nuts, maybe you could restore compatibility with *hax exploits? I vaguely remember hearing something about a fork that supported those. Quite pointless unless you're deliberately looking for features missing from official Luma, though.

Of course, someone messing around with a custom build of Luma probably isn't likely to forget boot.3dsx. But nonetheless.
