There's a tutorial for that in that iso site called "[TUTORIAL] - Inject MegaDrive/Genesis ROMs and Play WITH SOUND!"

That's a bit tougher and worse looking too - they're 3D Classics, and the interface is still based off Sonic 2 instead of a general VC menu, like most other systems.

Now if only Genesis VC existed with the interface of the Game Gear VC...

That's not an injection problem, that's an SD card problem.
You should reformat your SD card to FAT32 with 32KB cluster size
(if you have an EmuNAND that'd be rather annoying to do)

I actually just opened a ticket with EmuNAND9 about this today. Hopefully d0k3 will have a look into this and fix it in the next release

Minitool Partition Wizard will work, but please ask any further questions about this subject in that other thread, since it's more relevant there than here.

Injecting a Mega Drive ROM into one of the (Mega Drive) 3D Classics releases will never happen. Those releases do not contain self-contained emulators in any comparable sense to the various 3DS emulators, unfortunately.

I had the same issue with my 128gb SD card. Not sure about any fixes but I switched down to a 64gb and it fixed it.
And yeah I'd also recommend minitool partition wizard.

Can you possibly add multiplayer support for GBA Games ? It would be SOOOOOO Perfect ! (I understand if this can demand a lot of work, but if its possible... it will be Perfect)

Another Request, Changing the input of the game (Talking for every injector) for example: using X and Y as L and R for GBA

Need for Speed Carbon doesn't go farther than the ''Create Profile'' screen. That's basically just the first thing you do after choosing your language.

Edit: Rayman 3 deletes my saves.

Maybe those roms aren't compatible. If you have another working injection for those roms (from that ISO site, for example), please let me know by PM and I'll try to study them to makes them compatible with my injector.


Does this auto patch save to work properly? I previously had to use GBATOOL and patch it before generating some TRF file before using another program for injection. So if it does, i hope so.

It's possible with HackingToolkit and GBA VC Banner and Icon Generator. However, plain banners won't be supported in my injector.


Is it possible to add option to SRAM patch EEPROM 122 games? Becoue without Sram patch they wont save.

It has a release database for Name and Developer completion, but not for images. That's something a program can't decide for you (a nice picture).

Suggestion to change 0x80 to 0xC0, because C0 is the standard amount, and it's also what F-Zero uses. 80 would be too noticeable for little benefit.

Or maybe change to a scrollbar from 0x00 to 0xFF?


OK, I decided to give SMA4 a break for now (I don't know how they managed to patch it on that iso site), so instead I tried it with Kirby: Nightmare in Dream Land, and I must say that it did indeed work, colors and no ghosting included. Thank you very much for this application! It's worth noting, though, that the application only works with untrimmed roms; doing it with trimmed roms will result in an error message when opening it in your 3DS. I'll be waiting until proper support for flash 128k is finally added.

Please, contact me by PM about SMA4. I'll try to learn how they managed to patch it.
Are actually any GBA VC CIA with 128k support? If so, please tell me by PM too.


Would it be possible to specify in the program which ghosting/dark filter values are the official default values in the official vc releases?
While I mostly dislike the dark filter, some games were created with the gba'a darkened screen in mind, so I like to leave it on sometimes.

I don't know for which games are the ghostings, I just tooked from GBA Footer Generator v0.2d MOD. If you have that information I'll add to the application.


Beautiful! By the way, for some reason, I can't get it to work with the Ambassador GBA CIAs, even if I decrypt them with Decrypt9. Does it mean I have to create CIAs of these games from scratch?

Hey @Asdolo here's just another general suggestion for future versions of injectors, would it be possible to let us edit more digits of the TitleID?

As it stands I keep randomly picking ones that are used by official titles already used.

Also, did you have any time to look into version customization?
(no rush obviously, you're already on fire with how fast and well maintained these softwares are)

I though only 4 digits are editable (or at least, just editing that 4 digits makes the CIA works well?). As a solution, I think I can include a small DB of the official titles ID.


If you add patching GBA CIAs, could you do the same for NES? I can't recompile them with original resolution while keeping Download Play intact.

I can, but for now use HackingToolkit, which is an easy tool for that.

Not all games can save without patches, I tried injecting Donkey kong country with a different tool previously (I think someone named Asia81 Posted it) And the game says save error when you play, i had to use some GBAtool to patch it and some RTF generatot thing to create the injected cia file to patch it with.... I documented it here in this post.

for the x / y button thing, if agb mode doesn't shut down those buttons entirely, wouldn't it be possible to patch these in a similar way as the sleep mode does? i mean, the sleep patch sounds like its doing almost the same thing (waiting for certain inputs and executing sleep mode or waking up).

so if X is pressed, call some other button input.

i wouldn't be surprised if the buttons are dead in agb mode though

Unfortunately, no. GBA, GBC and GB games (excluding New VC/Pokémon RBY) don't support Link Cable or other multiplayer functions. Only NES, Game Gear and SNES games do.
