frontonly.jpg

The latest patch for The Great Ace Attorney (Episode 1+2) is out! You can grab it at the Github link below.

ENG 2.1.0

Download: https://github.com/StarStabbedMoon/DGS-ENG/releases
Typos and errors can be reported here: https://github.com/StarStabbedMoon/DGS-ENG/issues

Notes:

  • This includes many fixes for Episode 1
  • Manual incomplete (but notes for Episode 2 added)
  • Home menu banner untranslated (cannot be translated with a game update)
  • Uses the (mostly) same patcher from the demo
  • Since the question pops up a lot: there are five Episodes in total and a sequel of the same length we will also translate.
Requirements:
  • 3DS with CFW
  • Demo or full copy of Dual Destinies
  • Full physical or eShop copy of Dai Gyakuten Saiban
  • Patch

Yes. Make it crash with no patch/update installed and then make it crash with our patch installed.
By deleting the files inside the dumps folder before, the game ran completely fine without the update (It asks to download the update but it doesn't download it).If I then install the translation it crashes again,so I'm sending the main game + patch crash dump

How do I upload this? It says something about the file extension not being correct

Ok uploading it to 7z. It's the crash dump from main game+Translation patch

Alright, one glance at the dump and I see this:
Code:
/luma/titles/000400000014AD00/code.bin

Remember when I said:
remove the crack from sd:/Luma/titles/000400000014AD00

Are you even reading my instructions? Delete the folder /luma/titles/000400000014AD00

The error dump clearly says luma is loading the crack from sd:/luma/titles/000400000014AD00/code.bin and the launcher error matches it. You have a crack for Episode 1 installed, no doubt about it.

@astronautlevel made this lazy crack, it makes our official releases crash. All I can tell you is to remove it, the evidence it exists is there.

The funny thing is that I've only attempted to translate this through this thread

I have no idea - delete the complete luma folder (save and restore payloads later) if you must, but it's clear as day that the crack is there - maybe the folder is hidden?

Where did you download our patch? Exact URL, please.

Could you please just for once answer the questions in a way you were asked to?
He wants the URL you got the patch from and that you delete the luma folder, no more, no less.
Thanks.

I don't know how to remake the folder or to restore it,and I don't want to break anything cfw wise

Move the payload folder somewhere else before deleting the luma folder. Delete the luma folder. Make a new folder where it was and name it "luma" (thus remaking it). Then, put the moved payload folder back into the newly created, empty luma folder.

Yeah. Guys thanks for the willingness to help,it doesn't look like It's gonna work
OK, these are the only remaining things I can think of.

  • Start GM9
  • [1:] SYSNAND CTRNAND
  • Is there a luma folder?
  • If not, go on to "rw/luma"
  • is there a "titles" folder?
If you can answer no to all of those, consider your SD card might be broken and try another one.

I went into SYSNAND CTRNAND through GM9. There is a "title" folder, not titles in that directory and there is no titles folder in rw luma

In that case I can just copy paste this sd card's contents into a new one and try right? Do I have to cfw all over again...?
