From what I've read there are successful attempts flashing (NDS?) r4i-sdhc firmware over the original R4i B9S, on a R4i B9S? I'm interested in the (almost) opposite, flashing B9S to a R4i 3DS WiFi RTS (stock firmware). Has that been done? Successfully? If not, should I attempt to flash a backup from a R4i B9S (like @pandavova posted) on my R4i 3DS WiFi RTS using an already modded O3DS and the ntrboot_flasher posted by @Kitlith in this thread previously?

I got my card today :toot: (The magnet was broken xD)

Dumped the flash right now, here it is. (I checked it with a hex editor, its not just FF.)
Will later flash the card with the r4i-sdhc.firm, and upload later the other flash.
(its a normal .zip)

EDIT: Btw, i see now the problem with my r4i-3ds card. It only goes to 99%.

EDIT2:
Oh, i just saw something interesting: The b9s card is a r4i-3ds RTS card, as you can see here: https://github.com/kitling/flashcart_core/issues/14 https://github.com/kitling/flashcart_core/issues/14#issuecomment-324944317

EDIT3: I flashed it with the r4i-sdhc.firm, it shows as "Touch! Bomberman Land" on the home screen.
EDIT4: IT BOOTED! :toot: (I used of course the R4i-3DS V1.84b kernel/whatever)
Could you please dump the flash after you've converted it to a "normal" flashcart and upload it here for us?

Also interesting, has anyone revived a seemingly bricked R4i (3DS/B9S) using the ntrboot_flasher build and some backup.bin posted in this thread?

Why don't you try restoring @pandavova 's flash with the custom ntrboot_flasher? That should unbrick the cart
Didn't write, it's still 0 bytes card in GodMode9 and no home menu icon.

Woops, I'm dumb. I had the cart out while restoring flash. Retrying. xD

@SylverReZ, I dislike the kind of drm where you have to play single player games online all the time bc of some verification bs

@Xdqwerty, Don't use games that have Easy Anti-Cheat as its been exploited many times.

@SylverReZ, I also heard one of the Prince of Persia games was so unfinished that it required the "24/7 online" drm so a puzzle could be done and the game could be finished. And that when the Ubisoft servers were closed the (cracked) game was impossible to finish or something like that
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
@Xdqwerty, That's extra scummy. Ubisoft nowadays ship out incomplete games like Skull and Bones which was being worked on for nearly a decade now.

@SylverReZ, i think they have been doing that since late 2000s

Either that or their old games were unfinished aswell but we can't notice it

I like that games can be fixed after the fact, hate that it's being abused via beta tests... And DLC... I was a 7800 owner back in the day and loved Impossible Mission, turns out I couldn't beat it because it was actually impossible lol
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
I never knew about it at the time but a fixed version was available but you had to mail in your broken copy lol
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
So that version is semi rare
