Did they update it for PoP? If not, it won't work, because GX does a patch that allows to play games without a disc in the drive. Any patch other than the one to get the game to work cause the game to crash.

ahh crap. lastest version of GX "r930" freezes for me and doesnt load any games at all..

So, i guess back to getting the WAD working, any idea why its not working?

1. There's another(in my eyes) better method now to boot the game:
Use latest configurable usb loader or latest NeoGamma + included .wip file for it

2. -1022 indicates a problem with the wad or the sd card. You may want to try another sd card.

When using ios36 (instead of 249) on wad manager1.7, i get the error -1022
Could it be that trucha isnt installed somewhere?

-1022 should be wrong hash(damaged sd card). Hmm, did you try WAD Manager 1.7?

And cIOSrev9 won't play the game in GX if it still does that one patch.

Literally every other game I have works; Monster Hunter Tri, Mario G 2,Over 50 games play fine. At the begining of this post it states the patch or alternate dol wont work on an LU64+ Wii. So just wondering if there were any suggestions? I've been looking and looking and I end up back here no matter what I type in so I figured I'd piss off everyone who has answered this question 40billion times already and ask it again SORRY.

With GX, you need to use the 921 mod version that has been released and extract main.dol, patch it and either put it back into the game image or use the alt .dol SD method to load it.

Alternatively, if you switch to Configurable USB Loader, you just need to load the latest version (57b5) and play. Also turn on the "Clear Patches" option if you want to use IOS222 to play the game.

Ok so i did the patched alt. dol method and i played the game for about 20 min at a time on usb-loadeGX, every 20 min the game would crash and i would have to try again. but! the thing i found is that the game wouldnt work again until i changed the IOS from the options. doing that would let me me play the game for about 20 more min. Until i got to a point in the game where it stopped crashing. (from inside the statue head onward.) NOW! im at a point in the game where the creation powers got powered up and can be used anywhere.... and im supposed to backtrack in the game... but when i try to go through a door that slowly closes behind you... i loose all control and the game stops. not like before where its a complete freeze.... the game continues on with the prince either standing there or keeps moving without my control then eventually dies.


HELP!!!

UsbLoaderGX has gone to shit if you ask me, better find a better alternative like USBLoaderCFG, constantly updated and "WORKING" unlike the latest revisions of GX.

LU64+ is only a problem for the cIOSrev9 solution, because these Wiis simply can't run that cIOS => can't run the game with it.

Steps i took:
1. Installed Waninkokos cIOSv19 with base 37
2. Installed Hermes cIOSv4 222 with base 37 and 38 merged
2. Downloaded and used USBLoaderCFG (v57b5.dol) to boot the game from USB Drive
3. Edited Game settings to use "IOS 249" or "IOS 222", either will work if you installed steps 1 & 2 as specified.
4. Boots and plays fine now

thats what i thought at first but nope, the batteries are fully charged.
and if i use a creation power just before the game stops, the controller vibrates and doesn't stop.

Found something new....

while just running around the area i can play without continuing on to have the game freeze, i found a "hole in the ground" in a doorway on the same wall that freezes my game. so i think the game itself is messed up.

is anyone having the same problem as me?

WIP Patches will be only accepted in the following format (let's not invent
thousands of different formats):
In 3x 4 bytes columns separated by a space (no ":" allowed)
offset | original address | overwrite address

Example for PoP:
007AAC6A 7A6B6F6A 6F6A7A6B

...

The original address is compared before patching and is not patched if it
doesn't match. You can see the confirmation or fail of a patch on the Gecko
Output.

I just tried Rev932 aswell. The game worked ok but it still freezes if I press the home button.
Does that happen to you? I'm using CiosRev17.

Hi, Guys.
I'm absolutely new with this Wii hacking stuff.
The problem is much the same, I got a black screen after the Developers screen.
I use Neogamma 8 with CIOS Installer Rev.19, this is the updater I used to play MH Tri.
What are the steps so that I can play PoP?
If anyone can help with step-by-step guide, I would be very thankful.

Btw, I have a SD card to upload my Homebrew Channel (if this is gonna help).
