How do we make it work?

You use the R4CCE (R4 Cheat Code Editor) and select the patched game and it will show you the new game ID. Just copy the cheats from the usercheat file and put them in the new cheat file.

since you use a different flashcart I can't really say if you can use R4CCE to load the AR codes, but if u can u can find out the new id of ur patched game and change the id of the game that is in the cheat..

If you read the first post it will say that this patch will not translate the characters dialog...

Do you mean a whole new thread on the same subject? And what would that accomplish? All the "what we need" info would still be in the old thread.

Granted it may be necessary to provide a more concise post of relevant data (although I don't personally know what other important info you could be referring to), but that would be up to Raqib12 and whether he has the time/inclination to edit his original post. Can't see any commonsense in starting...god forbid...another HGSS thread.

I'd like to see "Key" story points translated but that is only because I'm stuck with 8 Badges and I'm currently unable to get to Victory Road(Melody/Soul won't let me leave Johto).

Also I was playing HG with patch 3.8 and the left Fire-breather in Burnt Tower was glitched

Personally, I would keep the male protagonist's name as Gold. That's what it is in Generation II, anyway. As for Kotone, she doesn't have an official name so Melody can do.

Edit: Actually, I wouldn't mind Jimmy either.

Go fight the Kimono Girls. Then go find Ho-oh/Lugia (dependent on your game)

Also, sorry for not releasing 4.0 tonight. I ended up going out, and I'm taking longer than I expected. I'll release it in the morning. Version 4.2 that is.

I hope some translation mistakes are fixed, like Speed Ball and Blackwood City. Although they might already be fixed, I just haven't updated since 2.0. I'm waiting for 4.2.

Wow.. why all the way till 4.2.. anyways.. not sure about blackwood city.. but speed ball has been fixed since 3.0 i believe.. if not.. 3.5

-All names in the PokeGear translated (Except Melody. She'll be the only Japanese name, I'm trying to figure out why...)
-All titles translated (even PokeGear exclusives)
-All trainer names translated (All checked for glitches, there should be none)
-Subtle fixes (Blackwood is now Blackthorn; Speed Ball is now Fast Ball)
-If you're playing as a girl, the name for the male protagonist is now "Sonic"

Any known errors?
-I mistranslated "Sea Bell" as "Sea Can" this will be fixed in the next release.

With the patched rom on my m3 simply, theres no option to press Y for cheats, but on a clean (untouched) ROM it allows me to select cheats.

Did anyone find a way to fix this problem yet?

Srry for double posting

You have to change the ID of the game in the CHEAT.DAT but you need to decrypt it to usrcheat.dat so the cheat code editor will read it.

anyways I'm gonna do it cuz I already added the cheats to the CHEAT.DAT give me a few minutes to change and upload.

BTW: Which Game are You playing?? just wanna know.

Check the rom ID with the cheat code editor

anyways I'm gonna do the CHEAT.DAT

I need to download the patches to make the rom so i can know the IDS if you tell me your rom ID i can do it now. also tell me which game are you playing HG or SS and which patch you applied 3.0, 3.5, 4.5 and localized or katakana.

theres an option to check ids of the nds files in the cheat code editor look for it.
