any suggestions for removal of the buttons and usbc port using hot air -- i'm using Celcius temp? I had a horrible time trying to get the buttons and usbc port off the 2040 zero -- for the buttons they finally came off at 280 and the usbc at 300 -- I think I fubar - ed the board though! I bought two just in case the first one had issues. I did pre flux and tent the connecting points. Any temp suggestions?
Any advice on testing the board before I try and wire?
Are you sure you should be doing this mod yourself instead of having a professional do it?

For those who have bought this rp2040 chip variant and have slow emmc errors or black screen to ofw, cut these two traces that lead to cmd A point and dat0 C point and add two more 0201 47 ohm resistors. This was the only chip i had left with to mod a v2 console which is an oled model chip so i had to do some cuts.

Your CMD and CLK wires are reversed when wired to the rp2040 in your first vid.View attachment 380496

In other words, it's a wiring problem.

thank you friend for opening my eyes But what a fool that I do? when you have shit in your eyes, it's a crazy thing. 1000 times thank you a real novice😅

And when we are fixed on an idea, 🤨 we stick our noses in our shit, we see nothing 🤪

I usually use kapton tape to cover other component.
Add flux to around the usbc and button, especially in the solder.
Than set the temperature to 420 degrees C, with the lowest airflow, and smallest tip.
The usb c usually take off after around 30 seconds, continuous flows, while moving the hotair around the solder joint, to distribute the heat from the airflow.
The button usually take off after 15 seconds.

Higher airflows usually make the time lower, distribute the heat to bigger area. But thats also problem, the heat will be distributed also to other component. But no worries if you have kapton tape. That tape insulate the heat.

Every hotair have their own characteristics, you need to find it yourselves the best one for your device. More practice made it perfect.

Have take off the usbc and button from the picofly like around 7 times, and no failed at all. All works.

hey guys i have an erista switch thath i want to install pico on it , nut i only have v2 flex cable , does any one have the cut schematics to adapt the v2 flex for erista

@QuiTim that new stencil\mag-holder\jig works like a dream! Reball all the emmcs! Love it!

Speaking of love for new tools...

For anyone here that uses UV curing resin, I HIGHLY RECOMMEND a laser to cure, dries in under 10 seconds. Thanks to @lightninjay for the recommendation :D

Links for the two I purchased (if you get the stronger one, ALSO BUY UV GOGGLES!):

5mw, Battery (what Jay uses)-

*20mw, 5v plug-in (I don't like batteries, the other was just a 'backup')-
https://a.aliexpress.com/_m04Hly0
I confirmed this. The laser just come and i tested it.

Have bought the 20mw non-batteries from the link.
https://a.aliexpress.com/_m04Hly0

Bought the transparent uv resin in local, and its works flawlessly fast.
Kudo now for someone who want to find best uv resin.
Use this laser and uv transparent. You wont regret.

I use 370 degrees, 25% air speed and the largest nozzle (about 1cm wide). buttons come off in about 5 seconds. usb maybe 10 seconds.

Hi, I have the same error code ( " *=* No eMMC block 0 read (eMMC init failure?)" ) with several OLEDs! I thought it was my wiring, the picofly (2.74) and the mosft cable that was messed up. I soldered a HWFly v5 core the console starts without problem?

I have to tell you, I only boot on the original fw with the pico installed
You can try to add I2C PIN

...no user partitions on the eMMCs...also slow speed... (before restore)

...then after restoring eMMC backup, still Black Screen on OFW... :(
...or it will not work because the new eMMC has a different serial ID..?

...BTW I just noticed this:

does this mean my Fuel Gauge IC is faulty? maybe this whats causing the Black Screen....?

but... where is the rp2040
On the battery to see if it working nicely or not, before cutting any long wires. I always test like this to see if it works or it will give any errors or not.
On this switch lite it is working nicely, no slow emmc error or anything. It boots into hekate on first run.

Edit: Getting this error when try to run CFW. this error got fixed. I formatted the sd card to Exfat which is causing the issue. Now working Fine When I format it to Fat32.

Hey guys !

I put an RP2040-zero on a switch V2 and it boots on OFW with a led code: Long green, short green, short green

I checked my welds, they are all good. Does anyone have any idea what I can check or change?

Thank you so much !
