On sysNAND?
I've heard apache thunder tried it a lot of times and it didn't work.
I've tried it once and it worked fine, and I'm doing it again in order to confirm it's working.
I'll be releasing a guide soon enough on how to play 6.x/7.x encrypted games without Gateway, and sysUpdater is part of the process.

Not really. This CFW alone doesn't mean anything. It's just a few lines of code with a fancy menu built on top of an existing arm9 loader (Brahma).
What people may start building on is Brahma, a project which had gone unnoticed by me and probably a lot of other people until now. However, porting the existing code to MSET and the browser is hard (it's based on ctrulib, which does not simply work there). Maybe it's easier to start from scratch for those entry points.
The key part in all of this is the (now finally public) knowledge on how to patch signature checks, which was released in the pastebin.

Does anyone with an Old 3DS want to test the spider version?

You have to be careful with how you install the NATIVE_FIRM CIA while updating the 3DS via CIAs. It's best you not attempt it if you don't know what you're doing. ;)

I'd like to know how to install NATIVE_FIRM safely, on sysNAND... Even better would be for me to do everything from CN.

Just note that sysupdater is extremely unsafe. Don't ever attempt to use it with Gateway mode. It will always result in a brick.

actually, apache, since this CFW (i might totally be wrong so don't take what i'm about to say for facts) patches things more cleanly than PBT (at least, i got that feeling since the GBA is not broken) it might actually be more stable in Pasta than PBT.

When you are able to launch pasta, would you care to try and run sysupdater, since you have a hard mod, right ?

He most probably used something other than Brahma.
Trust me, porting code that's made for ctrulib to something else is a pain, unless that something else is made to use the same APIs, but there's no such thing out there afaik.
I'm still puzzled on how I should return execution to FIRM after using roxas75's firmlaunchax thing (check his github) to patch signatures.

Can someone try to run rxTools from Pasta (or vice versa) to use the emuNAND?
Also, can I use RegionThree to play US/JP GBA games?

Why would you need to play US/JP GBA games when the EU ones have been dumped?

Hmm, I've never seen that guide before ever. You've written it, so it's obvious you've brought it up.
Thanks nonetheless. I never thought about rxTools. I'll do a test now, but instead of sysUpdater I'll use rxTools.

It's ok, at least thanks for confirming that sysupdater works with the pbt-cfw, it can be useful. :)

It's not like I'm rushing or bugging the OP about it. Just a question.

The word "ever" usually implies you've been waiting forever. The rest of the message shows you can't wait to get a hold on CN.
But I could be wrong. You may blame my assburgers.

I tried some euro GBA cias, and they don't work (blackscreen "An error has occurred")... is this likely to be because they're not built properly? They were posted on Christmas eve, so whatever's been fixed recently wouldn't have been fixed.

e: devmenu is working fine, so sig checks are definitely patched.
