The safest and best solution is just to mod over the top of it as if it had never been modded before. (UN-modding is not completely possible, dangerous and has no real benefits)

I would suggest ModMii for Windows. Run it and tell it you've never modded before and it will download everything you need and generate a guide for you to follow.

I think I re-used ModMii a couple weeks back, so I'd assume that fixed stuff if anything was even wrong... Does this look right to you?

That looks good enough to me, at least.

If there are any specific apps that are always code dumping on you with DSI exceptions, you might consider looking for an updated version of those apps that might have had some of those bugs worked out of them.

So, I've been using AccioHacks and the Gecko loader to use cheats with all of my games; I like the interface, it's straightforward, and I don't have to pull out my SD card to get more cheats. However, this doesn't seem to be compatible with USBLoaderGX's built in Ocarina function. So, I've installed Ocarina, removed all my old Accio cheats, and I'm really really done trying to create cheat files for all the games that I own. Is there a .zip file floating around that contains all of them? If it does exist, my search skills fail me. I don't imagine it'd be too big. Lastly, will Ocarina work properly with GC games on Dios Mios via USBLoaderGX? (Loaded from either backup or disc - I have the proper revisions in place)
USBLoaderGX should be compatible with AccioHacks's downloaded and generated files.
I think it's using the same folders (txtcodes and codes). If not, you can change the folders in USBLoaderGX settings to match the folders used by acciohacks.
(don't forget that you need to enable Ocarina in the game settings to enable the .gct file generated by acciohacks)

Ocarina works with DM/L (backup, but not with disc) in USBLoaderGX.

So just gunna rebump my question. Anyway I can get any/all wads installed via USBloader GX to work? Instead of just randomly chancing it and hoping for the best.

I don't understand your question.
I said that some wads ( = some games) are not working, so why do you still wonder if you can get all wads working 100% by installing them all?
You can't install all existing games and have them working if some of them doesn't work.

myself said:
Attention, some WiiWare games doesn't work, and Some VC games require older cIOS (especially N64 games).
just try the one you want to play and see if it works.

Your answer is : no, there's no way to get 100% working games. "try and see if it works" is the only way to know if a game works. There's no way to "know in advance" if a game will work or not, because nobody created a list of non working games.

Some channels require a specific settings (like I said, it's mainly Virtual Console N64 games, they don't work with d2x cIOS but does work with older cIOS revision 19).
But cIOS revision 19 require specific setup which are not the same as d2x cIOS.
So you need to install a dual system and understand how your Wii is working, install different IOS in different slots (and know what you install and where), create different NAND Dumps and mix their display in the loader if you want to list all games at once.

Other channels (WiiWare, not VC) work only in a neek environment (full Emulated console with official IOS).
There are two way to use neek environment (99% compatibility) :
- Launch Sneek or Uneek (stand alone program)
- Use a Neek2o compatible USBLoader (Wiiflow or Postloader)

Just got a hold of a couple DVD-R disks, is there a specific way to burn gc iso's to a disk? I googled and saw a tutorial from 2008, thinking there's probably a more recent one. Also when I do burn the disk, do I just run it from the disk channel?

You insert your disc into your computer's dvd drive and then rip your game to it. I believe PowerISO has a feature like this. And you should be able to run it from the disc channel. Or you can go into WiiFlow and use the Install Disc option, accessed by pressing the Home button. Or you can navigate to the Channels section of the loader and launch it from there.

So I burned a disc at 4x speed, it didn't appear in the Disc Channel, which I expected. I also tried Backup Channel Loader, which after failing I found out the channel was part of Neogamma. I noticed Neogamma was at r8, and I remember seeing r9 on the forums so I ignored that. After I tried WiiFlow, selected DVD and after about 10 seconds it had error 1167. According to the error list, it means:

1167:DVD Read Error:Bad burn/media.Dirty Lens use Wii Lens Cleaner.Trying to play a Dual Layer game with rev14- update to cIOS249 [56] d2x-v6 .Some old wiis are known to have problems with dual layer games. If its a new wii then it has a d3-2 drive and you cant play disc backups.Only option is USB loading.

It shouldn't be a dirty lens as it reads every other disc I have, shouldn't be bad media as I played the same iso on Dolphin. The slowest speed my drive can burn at is x6 so it auto chose that after I picked x4. It could be an IOS thing? No idea myself. I don't see the cIOS thing in my syscheck. And my disk drive is a release drive: http://www.wiidrives.com/identify?serial=LEH102478776

What could be wrong here?

I would like to dump some files from a GameCube game (Luigi's Mansion) to an SD card with a Wii and an original disk.
I don't want to dump everything, just some files.
How can I do this on a Wii?

Try using WiiXPlorer (I don't know if it can mount Gamecube games).
If it doesn't, then you will have to extract all the disc (either you dump into ISO and then use DMToolbox, or directly from USBloaders using extracted mode if available)

Hey guys! Very n00bish question coming in!

I have transferred all of my Wii data to the Wii U. Therefore I am now left with a clean Wii (4.3E), and I would like to hack it.
Howerver, I am a complete n00b.

Things I want to do:
-Load backups from an external hard drive.
-Play WiiWare games (install Wads).

Any hints on where to start / what to do first?

I would like to dump some files from a GameCube game (Luigi's Mansion) to an SD card with a Wii and an original disk.
I don't want to dump everything, just some files.
How can I do this on a Wii?

Cyan is right about WiiXplorer. You can use it to browse GC disks on a Wii and copy individual files to the SD or a USB drive.

@SylverReZ, I dislike the kind of drm where you have to play single player games online all the time bc of some verification bs

@Xdqwerty, Don't use games that have Easy Anti-Cheat as its been exploited many times.

@SylverReZ, my PC can't run most AAA games so i wont

@SylverReZ, I also heard one of the Prince of Persia games was so unfinished that it required the "24/7 online" drm so a puzzle could be done and the game could be finished. And that when the Ubisoft servers were closed the (cracked) game was impossible to finish or something like that
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
@Xdqwerty, That's extra scummy. Ubisoft nowadays ship out incomplete games like Skull and Bones which was being worked on for nearly a decade now.

@SylverReZ, i think they have been doing that since late 2000s

Either that or their old games were unfinished aswell but we can't notice it

I like that games can be fixed after the fact, hate that it's being abused via beta tests... And DLC... I was a 7800 owner back in the day and loved Impossible Mission, turns out I couldn't beat it because it was actually impossible lol
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
I never knew about it at the time but a fixed version was available but you had to mail in your broken copy lol
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
So that version is semi rare
  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:
@Psionic Roshambo, I have a rom of the ds version of impossible mission
