It's hardmodded, so cIOS's won't do him any good. Use ModMii to download and install all the latest vanilla IOS's and install them with a wad manager. If you want a guide on it, I wrote one here.zizer said:yes use modmii and istall ciosx-rev21d2x base 56 in slot 249
Not necesarily true. If readix plans on only playing backup discs from the disc channel, then you are correct, he will not benefit from installing a cIOS and could benefit from installing the latest vanilla IOSs. However, there's nothing stopping him from installing a cIOS and using a usb-loader... which, in my opinion, is better than any method of playing a backup disc.JoostinOnline said:It's hardmodded, so cIOS's won't do him any good. Lol, there is no indication that the user has a softmod beyond the HBC. I agree that USB is far better than disc loading, but since the user only mentioned a modchip and the HBC, it is logical that he is using backup discs.XFlak said:Not necesarily true. SS4 said:I was reading a bit about SNEEK and NAND emulation...now it seems i can run WADs from my usb loader instead of system memory with one option but I can't play games from it. There seems to be different setting reguarding SD, system memory and USB loader.
Now can I switch NAND emulation mode quickly so I can keep playing my games from my USB drives and WADs as well by simply alternating mode or something?
So far I'm running everything from the USB in FAT32 and My Wii is a 4.3 (Black one) I ran Modmii with pretty much all default options during install as well.
Its just that I have too much WADs and added to all the savegames + some games DLC (like just dance 2 free songs my gf downloaded) are too much for the system memory.
EDIT: Or maybe i just totally misunderstood the SNEEK NAND emulation concept at all lol I need some light shed onto this
A cIOS is a modification of an official IOS. cIOS249 base 56 means it is a mod if IOS56, and is installed into slot 249. Usually you would also say the version of the installer. For example, "cIOS222[38]v4" means:Jehuty25 said:When people say something like "cios249 base 56", what does that exactly mean?
With the latest version of Cfg, select the game and at the bottom you should be able to change what type of cover is displayed.clops3000 said:I have a question. How do you see the disc artwork in configurable usb loader? I have some disc covers in the disc folder but I cant seem to find the option to see them.
Use either ModMii or Softmod ANY Wii to do a full softmod. You will update your Shop Channel and block updates with Priiloader.Rikerd said:I guess I've been looking too hard or for too long, I have the homebrew channel and my friend did that for me, I was wondering how to get Netflix and Opera channel since I can't update. and wanted to find out how could I install those 2 channels without updating the system since I already backed up all my games and 2 lazy now to chance DVDs. I have all my games on my HDD. I am pretty good at everything else in regards of uploading games to my hard drive but the channels I cannot get and would love too, don't really care about WiiWare, mostly those 2 channels as that would be what I would use the most.
does anybody have a tutorial I can follow, link or anything? I looked everywhere online on google and the search feature here, then tried to look at treads but cant seem to find anything.
anyones help is greatly appreciated, I don't play much wii anymore but those two feature I will/would still use.

The first one is much faster, but the second has a lot more brick protection. Choose whichever you want.
Follow Softmod ANY Wii then. The only Windows program for that is md5summer.exe, and you can use this instead. I've included it in a couple of my guides because it's easy to use.Rikerd said:JoostinOnline said:Use either ModMii or Softmod ANY Wii to do a full softmod. thanks for the quick answer, I'll try it and come back if i have any problems...
I'll also update if successful. (the answer not the Wii)

EDIT: well I think I am in bad luck, I am on v4.2 and have a mac so I am very limited on software available, before my friend installed the homebrew channel he left the back ups on my computer and reading through some of the tutorials I read that putting the .wad file in the folder and then using the wad manager would work but no luck so far.
I believe gecko os can load channels (with cheats, obviously)salamai said:How do I use cheats for Virtual Console games like Paper Mario, Mario Kart, Donkey Kong Country, etc.
